Saint placid school and college

Hope you all are well.Today I am participating The Steemit Challenge Season 24 Week 03 - Educational Institutions.

St. Placid School and College is a renowned missionary school in Chittagong division.My son has been admitted to this school in class 1 this year. I visit the school every day to pick up my son. Today I will share a post about this school with everyone.

It was established in 1853, that is, about 172 years ago.The founders of this school were Anglo-Belgian Benedictines. There is a church next to the school.The School and College code is 3079.This school EIIN number is 104513.The college branch of the school was opened in 2015.

school is located on Mohim Das Road,Patharghata, Kotwali Thana, Chittagong. The name of the principal of St. Placid School and College is Brother Samuel Sabuj Bala (csc). Although the school was English medium at the time of establishment, it was later changed to Bengali medium. There is a huge playground as soon as you enter the school gate. There are about three thousand students in this school, including school and college levels. There are four sections in each class at the school level.

The school has two main gates. On the left side of the main gate, there is a canteen for students. Various types of food are available in this canteen. This three-story school has three buildings. The three buildings are connected together. There are three staircases, two on both sides of the building and one in the middle, for a total of three staircases.

There are five classrooms on each floor of the building. Inside each classroom, there are three rows of branches. The stairs rise to the second floor and there is a teachers' room. There are more than 60 plus teachers in the school. All the teachers are very co oparetive.There were beautiful flower arrangements on the balcony next to it.In this Institute a Health Service Centre is available.Here primary treatment given for the students from a nurse.

In memory of those who died in the 1952 Language Movement, a Shaheed Minar has been established on the west side of the school. Every year on February 21, the teachers and students of the school place wreaths at this Shaheed Minar in memory of the martyrs. Various types of flower trees are planted next to the Shaheed Minar. Various types of flower trees are planted in the corners of the school campus.

The school has a huge playground. The students of the school participate in various competitions. In 2022, basketball team achieved success at the national level. Annual sports competitions are organized every year. The institution also arranged cultural program in the occasion.

The school also offers karate training. Karate training is offered every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. Only students of saint Placid School and College can take karate training at this place.
