Assalamu Alaikum. How are you? I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah. I am well, Alhamdulillah.I am very excited to participate in Learning Challenge Season 25/Week#4. Cooked Chickpea200 gm
Chicken100 gm
Cucumber1 piece
Tomato1 piece
Bell pepper1 piece
Onion1 piece
Coriander leavesto taste

For the vinaigrette:
Olive oil | 3 tbs
Vinegar | 2 tbs
Honey | 1 tbs
Black pepper | to taste
Salt | to taste

I soaked the chickpeas last night to make a salad. Today, I boiled the chickpeas with salt before making the salad.

First, I washed the vegetables needed to make the salad very well with water. So that there are no germs on them. It is better to wash any vegetable before cutting it. This makes the vegetables germ-free and the nutrients remain intact.Place the vegetables on a strainer and let the water drain.

I cooked the chicken well in a pan with ginger and garlic paste. Then, using two forks, I shredded the chicken.

Then I cut the cucumber, bell pepper, tomato, and onion into small chunks.If the vegetables used in the salad are cut to the same size, the salad will look more attractive.

First, take a large bowl. In this large bowl, add the cucumber, bell pepper, tomato, and onion chunks one by one.

Then I will add the chickpeas, the main ingredient of the chickpea salad, which I had previously boiled. After adding the chickpeas, I will add the boiled chicken.

To make the vinaigrette, first I will take 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a bowl. Any good quality neutral oil can be used instead of olive oil. Then I will add vinegar and honey to that olive oil and mix it well.

Then I mix it well with salt and black pepper to make vinaigrette.

Then I pour the vinaigrette over the salad and mix it very well. At this stage I will check the flavor and it's taste is good . My chickpea salad is complete.

2 - Have you tried chickpea salad before? Tell us about the flavor of your salad? Did it meet your expectations?.

I often make and eat chickpea salad. But the chickpea salad I make uses only onion, green chili, yogurt and a little salt. Today was the first time I made chickpea salad with vegetables and other ingredients. This chickpea salad was delicious. My family and I enjoyed the salad very much.

Chickpeas:Chickpeas are a protein-rich food. Chickpeas contain a lot of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Fiber helps increase digestion and reduce the risk of heart disease. Since chickpeas are low in calories, those who are controlling their weight can eat chickpeas regularly.

Cucumber:Cucumber is a vegetable that has a high water content. Therefore, cucumber helps in eliminating water deficiency in our body. Cucumber also helps in weight loss. Cucumber is used in various beauty treatments.

Bell pepper:Bell pepper not only enhances the taste and beauty of food. Bell pepper contains a lot of vitamin C which helps in increasing our immunity. Bell pepper contains antioxidants which act as cancer prevention.

Onion: Onion helps in increasing the body's immunity and also increases digestion. Onion juice helps in stopping hair fall. Onion helps in curing acne and pimples.

Yogurt can be used to make chickpea salad. Yogurt will bring a creamy texture to this salad.
If desired, you can use other vegetables such as radishes, carrots, broccoli, and potatoes in chickpea salad.
After making the chickpea salad, keep it in the refrigerator for some time before serving. Its taste will improve even more when served.
