Assalamualaikum friends, I hope you all are well. Eid al-Adha has just ended, and I've come to share my diary from the day before Eid. Eid al-Adha is the second Eid for Muslims, where by sacrificing an animal in the way of Allah, people sacrifice all animality from within their hearts.

This time, all government and private institutions were closed for more than 8 days for Eid, so employees from different districts had gone to their hometowns. Our area felt quite empty. When I woke up in the morning and went towards the highway, the road was absolutely silent, which is very rare.

An animal for sacrifice was also bought for our home. The Creator says that for sacrifice, one should sacrifice an animal according to their means. He also says to divide the sacrificial meat into three parts: one part for the poor and needy, one part for relatives, and one part for ourselves.

Respecting this command of the Creator, a cow was bought for our house a day before. I was in charge of looking after it. I'm certainly not very skilled at this, but at this time of year, I collect grass for the cow, give it water, and feed it.

Besides the cow, another goat was also brought for sacrifice at our home. After looking after the cow, I went to the goat to feed it. The goat was kept next to the cow, and I spent the morning with them.

The goat's food is slightly different from the cow's. The day before, I had bought a type of bran from the market for the goat to eat, which I gave it in the morning. Besides that, goats really like jackfruit leaves, so I collected some leaves for it for the whole day.

After having lunch at noon, I rested for a while. Then, in the afternoon, I went to the kitchen for a snack. I saw that my mother had cooked pasta. I took a bowl and had some. The noodles tasted very delicious to me. After that, I performed the Maghrib prayer.

At night, I kept the animals safely inside the house. Then I had dinner and prepared to sleep.
