Betterlife - The Diary Game | 26 July, 2025 | Enjoying a rainy day and visiting my maternal grandfather in the hospital.

It's normal for it to rain during the rainy season, but sometimes heavy rain can cause delays in our work. Especially on rainy days, roads can be very muddy, so you have to be very careful while walking. And when there's heavy rainfall, those of us who rely on public transportation face problems because there are fewer vehicles on the roads.

I woke up in the morning and noticed it was raining heavily. The amount of rain had decreased for a few days, but this week the seasonal rain continued again. After breakfast, I left for the office and stood on the highway waiting for a vehicle. Along with a few other people, I stood there with an umbrella, waiting for a vehicle. Due to the heavy rain, many drivers refrained from driving.

Although it was a bit late, I reached my office desk. It was dark outside due to the rainy day, and the weather was quite cold. It feels good to work in such weather. I started completing my PC tasks step by step. I took a short break and enjoyed the rain from the window outside my desk. Then, I finished my work on time.

After returning home and having lunch in the afternoon, I rested for a while. My maternal grandfather had been admitted to the hospital three days ago due to illness. However, I was also unwell, so I couldn't go to see him. So, I thought I'd head to the hospital after some time in the afternoon, but it was still raining.

As the rain subsided in the afternoon, I left for the hospital. The patient was admitted to Medical Center Hospital, which was quite a distance from me, so it took some time to reach. Upon arriving at the medical center, I was sitting on a seat downstairs, waiting for my uncle, and I noticed people coming to and fro.

My maternal grandfather was on the eighth floor of the hospital in the CCU. I learned about the deterioration of his physical condition from my uncle. His heart's pumping efficiency had decreased, leading to fluid accumulation in his lungs, which made it difficult for him to breathe. While outside the CCU, I was talking to my uncle about his physical condition.

To visit a patient in the CCU, one needs permission from the doctors inside. After waiting for a long time, I got the opportunity to enter. I was very happy to see my maternal grandfather. He is currently 87 years old. I sat beside him for a while but didn't talk much because talking might cause him discomfort.

After spending some time with him, I came out of the CCU room. I stayed at the medical center for some more time, and then I left to return home. I hadn't eaten anything since lunch in the afternoon, so I went downstairs and entered a cooling corner to get something to eat.

I was very hungry. I thought I should order something that would satisfy my hunger, so I ordered a chicken paratha. These parathas are quite large, and one paratha is enough to satisfy a person's hunger. A shop employee heated and cut the paratha for me; it was very delicious.

After finishing my meal and paying the bill, I returned home by public transportation. It was very late by the time I got home because there was some traffic on the road. At night, I prayed to the Almighty for my grandfather's recovery. I hope his physical condition improves quickly.
