Secure City Shopping Complex, Sitakunda

Secure City Shopping Center is the most advanced shopping mall in Chittagong, located outside the city corporation area in rural side. It's situated on the east side of the highway, adjacent to the main Sitakunda Upazila area, north of the Sitakunda police station. You can shop for your favorite items here from 09 AM to 12 PM, seven days a week.

While not as luxurious as other renowned shopping centers in the city, it is the most modern and well-equipped mall in the rural side of the area. The building has six floors, with the first three dedicated to the market. It serves as a go-to destination for local residents to find modern goods and products from various well-known brands.

The market has a great location and environment that suitable for people from all walks of life. The entire mall is fully air-conditioned and well-maintained, with a clean interior. There is ample lighting and attractive decorations to create a pleasant shopping experience. A convenient feature is that you can enter and exit from both the east and west sides of the building.

The market was established not long ago. Most of the branded shops are located on the ground floor. There are still some shops available for rent. The ground floor has most of the shoe brands like Lotto, Bata, and Apex. Besides them, there are gift shops, crockery, and a super shop brand, along with other items. All are designed to be quite attractive and beautiful, which will catch the customers' attention. Since most of the shops have glass fronts, you can see the products inside, which will encourage customers to enter.

Most visitors come to the mall for clothing. While there aren't many clothing stores on the ground floor, the second floor is dedicated to them. Customers can find branches of popular local brands for traditional Punjabi, shirts, and polo T-shirts. The men's clothing section has a wide array of options to choose from.

Compared to men's brands, there are more shops for women's clothing. There are separate branded shops for salwar, kamiz, sarees, three-pieces, burqas, cosmetics, and bags. These shops offer luxurious products that are not easily found in local markets, and there is a massive collection of women's apparel.

Work on the third floor is not yet complete, but I hope customers will soon be able to see collections from various shops there as well. The shopping mall has all the facilities and amenities that a shopping mall should have. There are both escalators and capsule lifts for going up and down. Customer traffic is still low, so I hope visitors will not have any trouble using the lifts.

Many customers visit the market with their personal cars, and a parking area is needed for parking. Secure City's parking area is very large, and with entry and exit on both sides, there will be no hassle with parking. Several security guards are always stationed in the parking area and they maintain and arrange the parking of all incoming cars in a nice way.

While visiting the market, shoppers might need a place to eat. Unfortunately, the shopping mall does not have a separate department or section for restaurants. Although many restaurants in the surrounding area, it would have been better if they were on the market floor. However, there are some bakeries inside where you can find a selection of your favorite baked goods.

All preparations for emergencies are in place here, and the best part is that the market is located very close to a fire service station. Another thing I must mention is that even though the market is small in size, having entry and exit paths on both sides makes it easy to enter and exit from any direction. Furthermore, extensive fire-fighting systems on each floor, have been kept to protect against accident-prone situations, and which should definitely be in place.

I have noticed ATM booths for two popular banks where most people have accounts. If you unexpectedly run short of cash while shopping, it is possible to withdraw the necessary funds from these booths using a card or bank services. To do this, you have to go to the end of the market, towards the exit door. These booths are located next to the stairs on the way out, which can be convenient for customers.

I really liked the atmosphere of this market. It's not a mega-mall like the ones in the city, and its location in a rural area means less foot traffic for luxurious shopping. However, it meets the needs of the local community by providing access to several essential branded shops.

I didn't do much shopping at Secure City myself, but from speaking with customers and visiting some stores, I learned that the prices are relatively low. The mall has solved the problem for many rural customers who previously had to travel long distances to the city to buy from their favorite brands. It is a modern and convenient shopping destination in Sitakunda.
