Sweet Basket is a bakery specializing in sweets. They also have a variety of grocery items in their showroom, which can be considered a small branch of supershop The Basket. It's essentially a bakery that also offers services similar to a supermarket. The new branch recently opened on the west side of the road in Bhatiari, Chittagong. You can get their services every day from 8 AM to 11 PM.

The main room is very large and fully air-conditioned. Upon entering, you can see their products all around. Since it has both food and grocery items, every corner is filled with different things. Because it’s a new opening, there were balloons hanging from the ceiling and in various places, along with stickers featuring a "Grand Opening" logo.

The inside had beautiful lighting and a bright, clean environment. The ceiling was fitted with powerful LED lights, making the space always feel bright. The entire room still had some empty spots, and it looked like some interior work was still left to be completed since it was a new branch. It felt more like a supermarket than a sweet shop.

Everywhere you looked, there were large shelves. The shelves had more grocery items than bakery items. The bakery shelves were in the front section as you entered. As I walked further in, I saw much larger shelves where the grocery items were neatly arranged. Next to all the shelves were some red baskets for customers to use for their larger purchases.

First, let me share with you their sweet items. I had mainly gone to buy some sweets. All the different varieties of sweets were arranged in a glass freezer. Next to each sweet, a small paper card listed its name and price so customers could see the cost. They had a wide variety of sweets, including white-black regular sweets, balusha, chomchom, sanar sandesh, kalojam, roshmalai, and many more.

The next section was their cake items. This included their special cakes, pastries, and jar chocolates. You can also order customized cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or any special occasion, and they offer same-day delivery. I saw many ready-made cakes there, including white forest pastry, chocolate cake, lava cake, and red velvet.

You can also order any of their food items and enjoy them right there. If the food was spicy, they would heat it up in an oven for the customers. The seating for customers seemed to be of good quality. Although I didn't sit, they looked very comfortable. You can also buy sweet items by the piece to eat there, and in that case, the price might be slightly higher than the per-kilogram rate. The behavior of the staff serving the food was also very polite and courteous.

Now, let's talk about the grocery section. This was a bit new for me because I don't usually buy groceries from supermarkets. The items were arranged in rows, just like in a supermarket. In the first few rows, I saw packaged grocery items like salt, sugar, flour, semolina, falooda, rice, and spices. It was clear that they stocked packaged groceries from various good brands.

The next section had daily household items. There were different brands of toothpaste, toothbrushes, various liquid cleaners for the home, and germ-killing liquids. There were also many other sections where you could find sauces, water bottles, Tang, energy powders, and many more things on each shelf. I didn't see any fresh vegetables, fish, or meat yet, but they might add those in the future.

After you finish your shopping, you need to go to the cash counter to pay the bill. I saw more than one employee at the cash counter, so I hope that even during a rush, bill payments won't take much time. You can pay your bill using bKash, Nagad, other digital wallets, or bank cards. After you pay, customers are given a slip with a list of all their purchased items and the total amount.

Since it's a bakery, they offer some other benefits as well. You can buy various frozen items like uncooked bread, paratha, rolls, samosas, and wonthons. These frozen items are available in high-quality branded packages. If you're an ice cream lover, you'll also find all your favorite ice cream brands next to the frozen items. In addition, I saw a whole shelf filled with containers of their own-made biscuits and dry cakes, which shows that their bakery items have a wide variety.

I bought two types of sweets and a plastic container of dry cake from them. Their packaging felt premium to me. The sweet boxes with their own branding were of very good quality. They also gave me a separate handbag to carry them home. It was raining the day I went shopping, so the packets got a bit wet, but due to the good packaging, the food was not affected. After payment, I was given a slip with the prices of my purchased products.

The Basket is a very popular supermarket brand in Chittagong. However, they recently introduced "Sweet Basket" with sweets and bakery items. It seems they are also focusing on high quality with their bakery, which is why their sweets might be a little more expensive than other bakeries. But I think the price is fair for the quality and taste.

I think having both sweet items and grocery items under the same roof is very convenient for customers. It's great when we can find our essential groceries and our favorite food items in one place. So, customer can visit the newly opened Sweet Basket to taste their premium-quality sweets.
