Essential Apps: How to Find a Medicine by Patient Aid - Part 2

I am planning to write about some essential apps in our lives. Here is the 2nd part about Patient Aid by IT Medicus. For a detailed explanation, I am making this app into 3 parts. This is the 2nd Part where I will discuss how you will find the Medicine.

In this episode, I will talk about the Medicine menu. When we enter the medicine menu, there are 9 separate menus in that section. I will discuss one by one here.

Search Menu

In the Search menu, we can search for the brand name and generic name of a particular medicine. When searching, there are two separate sections, brand and generic. Let's discuss brand search.

There, we must put at least two characters to get a result. Let's see how it works. I searched for the most common medicine in Bangladesh, Napa. After I wrote Napa, all the variants of Napa are presented here. We can also search for other medicines. I found what I was searching for. Napa 500 mg. Here shows the brand name, the generic name, and the company that produced it. When I click on it, some other features also come.



We can see the price of a single piece of tablet is also presented. Other menus show other useful details of that genre of medicine.

My Medicine

Here, you can add the name of the medicine you took regularly or occasionally. The process is straightforward. Press the Add Medicine and search for the name.

Medicine Cost

Here, you can calculate the price of your daily medicine. Add Medicine like My Medicine, and the price will be automatically calculated.

On this menu, we will find a few helpful health tips. Those health tips are separated into three sections.

Medicine Alarm

In this menu, we can add an alarm for our medicine at the right time. Just click on that, and we have to go to the add medicine section, type the medicine name, set the dose, and when I take that. That's it. It will remind the right hand by alarm.

Chart & Calculator

In this menu, we will find some charts related to health. Like BMI, IBW, EDD, etc.

Disease and symptoms

In this menu, we will find some diseases and the symptoms associated with those diseases.

Food & Nutrition

In this menu, we will find some healthy foods and nutrition advice. This section is also included in the health tips menu.

Mother & Child Corner

In this menu, we will find some healthy advice for a pregnant mother, a lactating mother, and their child.
