Bangladesh is one of the top Garment and Knitwear producers and exporters. Most of our foreign remittances come from the cloth industry. Furthermore, Bangladesh is a country with a huge population. That is why we have a demand for one of our basic needs, clothes. Street vendors are the top source of that.

Welcome to another week of Steemit Challenge, Season 26. Our beloved mentor @max-pro organized a nice theme of Street Business. This week's topic is Street Vendors of Clothes & Mobile Accessories and Cobblers. Here is my thought about that.

What type of daily necessities business is most demand in your area?

Clothes are one of our basic needs. A street cobbler's service is necessary. Mobile accessories are for hobbies. This category is enough to describe which business has the highest demand in our area. Obviously, this is the cloth store.

A street vendor of clothes is a helpful and handy option for the lower-class and lower-middle-class people. Nowadays, middle-class people also like to buy dresses from street vendors. Since, Bangladesh has a huge population of middle-class and lower-middle-class people, street cloth stores are highly popular nationwide.

In my area, this is a place where the maximum number of people are garment workers. That's why, street clothes store has the highest demand. There are a few places where street vendors appear every day. In fact, the place I took photos and videos, in front of the National Martyrs' Monument, is one of the largest places for street vendors.

Have you bought these yourself or visited them?

I am not a fan of buying regularly. But, yes, for daily use, I like to buy from street vendors. Since, I am working in a Pharmacy, there are a few vendors whom I know. I used to buy from them.

What is the quality of these products? Also, if you have any experience with how long they last, please tell me.

There are three types of cloth we used to see on the streets. Low-budget quality. Maximum of these are recycled. Therefore, people can buy it at a very cheap price. If you're lucky enough, you can get reused brand clothes. Arong is one of the top quality brands in my country. There is a chance that someone can get an Arong recycled cloth from street vendors. But, most of the time, these clothes have lower quality.

Others are for regular use. It’s not guaranteed. The products could be good, could be bad.

High Quality, low budget t-shirt

At some places, there are a lot of expert-quality rejected clothes that can be found. These products were produced for world-renowned brands like Walmart, Zara, H & M, and Gucci. These were rejected for various reasons like a spot or a bad swing quality or bad labels! These kinds of products have the highest demand and you can buy them at a cheap price. They last for a long time. I have 2 T-shirts and 2 denim jeans that I have used for more than 2 years.

How do people behave towards street vendors?

We are not a nation, is properly civilized yet. Most people consider street vendors to be non-human. This is very pathetic. However, they are very friendly and helpful. Well, let's talk business. Street products come at a cheap price. They do not need to pay rent. They do not have to pay any other expenses. That's why they can offer products cheap price. Their goal is rolling the cash. They do not stock. They want to sell as much as they can. Their formula is simple. They buy, they sell, they buy again and take the benefits and live a happy life.
