Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, Bangladesh

Begum Rokeya University is the only government university in Rangpur district. It was first established in 2008 as Rangpur University. Later in 2011, the university was renamed Begum Rokeya University after Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain, the pioneer of women's awakening in Bengal. Currently, this university has a total of 7050 students, including 5982 undergraduates and 1068 postgraduates, studying in 22 departments.

The main gate of Begum Rokeya University is very big. This main gate was built last year and it was inaugurated last year. Earlier, there was a main gate at this same place, but it was not this big and beautiful. There are a total of four gates to enter Begum Rokeya University, out of which this is the biggest gate. This gate has greatly increased the beauty of the university. After we entered Begum Rokeya University with our friends, we all took a selfie together.

After entering Begum Rokeya University, the first thing you will see is a beautiful road with many big black cherry trees on both sides. The black cherry trees have increased the beauty of the road several times. Especially when the black cherry flowers bloom on the trees, many people from outside come to enjoy the beauty of this road and take pictures on this road. However, earlier this road was a brick road. Last year, it was made into a paved road and the road was paved.

There are several large playgrounds in Begum Rokeya University. However, the large field on the right hand side after entering through the main gate is where all kinds of official games of the university, including inter-departmental games, are held. There are green trees all around this huge field. The day we went here, an inter-departmental game was being played. Due to which there were many spectators around the field. During the game, the spectators were shouting from outside and encouraging the players.

The administrative building of Begum Rokeya University is a four-story building. And this administrative building is very beautiful to look at. Because there are many trees and flowering plants in front of it, which have greatly increased the beauty of this administrative building. Any work or decision of Begum Rokeya University is taken from this administrative building. That is, this administrative building is where the people of the administration of Begum Rokeya University do their administrative work.

There are a total of four academic buildings in Begum Rokeya University. Out of which, a total of 5 departments are operating in this 4th academic building. That is, classes of students of all years of 5 departments are held in this building. Since I do not study at Begum Rokeya University, I do not know which departments have classes in this 4th academic building.

This is Academic Building No. 3. My friend Milan is a student of the Department of Public Administration. All the students of his department study on the 3rd floor of this academic building. In addition, the departments of Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry are also functioning in this academic building.

Every press conference or movement that takes place in Begum Rokeya University takes place in front of this media complex. This is a complex in front of a big banyan tree and the academic building. Whatever problems or new developments are discussed in the university, everything takes place in this media complex. This is one of the important places in Begum Rokeya University.

Begum Rokeya University has a huge cafeteria for students to eat and drink. From breakfast to lunch and dinner, various types of fast food are also available. There is a huge stage in front of this cafeteria where various university events are held.

Many buses operate for the transportation of Begum Rokeya University students. Every government university has its own buses. And Begum Rokeya University also operates several buses. And these buses are located at a specific location and the buses operate from there. These buses operate according to a specific schedule.

I went up to the roof of Academic Building 3 with my friend Milan. The entire university can be seen from here. I took pictures of the university from the roof and also took pictures of myself.

Since it is a public university, it never closes. This university is always open. And it is the only public university in our Rangpur. Which I can be proud of.
