History of Bangladeshi traditional food Zorda
Bangladesh has been famous for its delicious food since before the Mughal Empire. Especially since the time of the Mughal emperors, new items have been included in the food. What were the favorite foods of the emperors? After the era of the emperors had passed, these foods have become very popular in our society. We cook those foods on special occasions and enjoy them. To put it simply, the foods prepared for the emperors have become the main food of our special occasions. Now, without these foods, we cannot imagine any guest reception. Especially, this food is more famous in old Dhaka. The people of old Dhaka are known as food lovers. The name of the traditional food is Zorda.
Dating back to the Mughal, Zarda had a variation with an addition of small fried sweetmeat pieces called 'mutanjan'. This dish was a favorite of Emperor Shahjahan. he often made on his request. This rice dish was made for guests at special banquets. That traditional food is also running all over the country in any traditional occasion.
birthday, wedding ceremony, seminar. After the main meal on special occasions, the food without which the full taste of the food cannot be obtained is Zorda. We usually take Jorda as a dessert after the meal. It is a very delicious, colorful food. Be it any event in any part of Bangladesh, whatever the other items of food, Zorda is always there as a dessert.
Zarda is a very delicious food. This food is made with a mixture of rice, ghee, raisins, almonds, cashews, food-grade Zarda color, and many more items. To make the food more delicious, special sweets, marmalade, etc., are also added for Jarda.
It is said that Jarda plays an important role in achieving the satisfaction of the guests.

Now I am determining the geographical location of the food I have prepared. Although this food is equally appreciated all over Bangladesh, it is still in Old Dhaka for special dishes. The residents of Old Dhaka are counted as the original citizens of Dhaka. And everyone knows them as food lovers. So today I have determined the location of my food as Old Dhaka, which is called Lalbagh district.

Hello amigo. !!!
Muchas suerte.

@oswaldocuarta,
Thank you very much for visiting my post. The history of this food is indeed very long. A food from about 300 years ago is still popular. Not only that, but this food also plays an important role in catering to guests.
Zarda is both sweet and nutritious. It is very easy to make. You can try it once.
Oh qué bien, me gusta mucho el dulce
Tendría que conseguir algunos ingredientes que desconozco si en mi zona pueda consegir, pero sería muy interesante sin duda.
Gracias ☺️
@oswaldocuarta,
The ingredients for making zarda are very common. For example-
Rice - It is available almost everywhere.
Sugar - It is rare to find sugar in a place.
Ghee - This is also easily available.
Apart from that, the rest of the ingredients can be found in any department store.
I believe that once you try it, you will be attracted by its taste.
Your zahdar is really colourful and that's what attracted me to this post, as I go through your post you made a detailed steps by step preparation is understandable.
It might be delicious I think but I can't even imagine the taste because some of this ingredient I haven't seen it before.
I know the food will be really appetizing as it's colour is attractive.
