SLC26-W4 // "Baked Appetizers"
Hello dear friends,
How are you all? I hope you are well. I am also fine by the grace of Allah. Today, I have come to participate in the third week of the Steemit Challenge SLC-S26/W4, organized by the Honorable teacher @suboohi ma'am. She has brought us a delicious and healthy appetizer, whose name is "Baked Appetizers". I feel proud to participate in this challenge.
What do you understand by Baked Appetizers? |

Baked appetizers are a type of food that is usually small in size and is a delicious snack food. Which is cooked in an alternative method such as oven or stove instead of frying, grilling or steaming. They are usually served before the main course to whet the appetite. Baking is considered a healthy cooking method because it uses less oil to prepare, retains the original flavor of the food, and gives it a crispy golden texture.
When we think of baked appetizers, the things that come to mind are -
The food is prepared in small portions.
- It is cooked without water in an oven or stove using dry heat.
- The food is delicious, and sometimes it can be slightly sweet, and sometimes it can have a slightly salty taste.
- It is often a lighter and healthier food compared to deep-fried appetizers.
- It is prepared and served hot, crispy or soft depending on the taste or preference of the person.

- Stuffed mushrooms

- Cheese-stuffed breadsticks

Now I will make mini chicken sharma following the method instructed by respected teacher @suboohi ma’am. Before starting the mini Sharma tutorial, I am presenting its ingredients below. I have prepared the mini sharma in three stages. So I have also presented its ingredients in three steps.
Ingredients to make the chicken sharma in first step
Flour | 2 cups |
Liquid milk | 1/2 cup |
Sugar | 1 teaspoon |
Yeast | 1 teaspoon |
Salt | as per taste |
Cooking oil | as per requirement |
Now I am presenting my mini Sharma tutorial
🔘 Step:-01
- I take half a cup of liquid milk in a bowl.
- Now I add 1 teaspoon of sugar to the milk.
- Then I add 1 teaspoon of yeast in the milk.
- Now I mix the mixture well and let it boil for 5-6 minutes.

🔘 Step:-02
- Now I take a big bowl and put two cups of flour in it,
- Now I add salt to the flour
- Then I slowly pour the milk mixture into the flour and keep stirring.
- I used light soya bean oil in the mixture to set perfect structure
- Once the dough is ready, I keep it aside and cover it for 1.5 hours.
- Make a ball of dough, spread oil on the surface, and keep it covered for 5-10 minutes.

🔘 Step:-03
- After 1.5 hours, I make small ball-shaped balls with the dough,
- I make several balls and make each ball into a loaf.
- I make the loaf with the ball using a bread maker and cut the loaf into round shapes with a round lid.
- I cover it with a lid so that the loaves do not dry out.

- Now I put the roti frying pan in the oven, fry the loaves I have made slowly, and keep it aside.

Second Step of making Shorma: -
Second Step Ingredients; -
Chicken meat (boneless) | 500 grams |
Ginger garlic paste | 1/2 teaspoon |
Chili powder | as per taste |
Salt | to taste |
Black pepper | 1/2 teaspoon |
Vinegar | 1 teaspoon |
Soy sauce | 1 teaspoon |
All spices | 1/4 teaspoon |
Soybean oil | as per quantity |
Second Step Tutorial of Sharma:-
🔘 Step:-05
- Take 500 grams of boneless chicken meat in a bowl, wash it well, and drain the water. - Then mix salt as per the quantity inside the meat.
- One by one, add ginger garlic paste, chili powder, all spices, and chili powder inside the meat.

- When all the items are added to the meat, I marinate all the items well.
- Now add one teaspoon of vinegar inside the mixed meat.
- Then add a spoon of soy sauce and mix well. And keep it aside for two hours.

- After two hours, I add soybean oil in a pan. When the oil gets hot, I add the previously marinated meats in the pan and fry them little by little. When the pan is ready, I cover it with a lid. Then I put it in a bowl.

Final Step to make the Sharma
Ingredients for the final step:-
Grated capsicum | as much as you like |
Grate carrots | as much as you like |
Grated cucumber | as much as you like |
Mayonnaise | as much as you like |
Tomato sauce | as much as you like |
Black pepper powder | as much as you like |
Salt | as per taste |
🔘 Step:-08
- Take a capsicum and cut it into long, thin pieces
- Now, following the same method, cut the carrots and cucumbers and arrange them in a bowl.
- Now I cut the meat pieces into small pieces and let them cook on medium heat. Now I fry the meat capsicum. Carrots for a while.
- Now I add chopped cucumber to it. And mix all the items well and keep them ready.

- Now I take 5-6 spoons of mayonnaise in another bowl.
- Now I add 3-4 spoons of tomato sauce in the bowl.
- I also add 1/2 spoon of chili powder. I also add as much salt as I can.
- Now I mix all the items well.

- Now I mix the mayonnaise mixture well on the previously prepared pizza bun.

- Now I take the required amount of meat from the previously mixed meat and vegetable mixture and put it on the bread.
- Now I need to wrap the Sarma a little. With that, my chicken Sarma is completely ready. Now I wrap it and make it completely ready to serve.

Baked Potato Skins- Potatoes contain potassium and vitamin C, and keeping the skin adds fiber, which is very good for digestion. The food is crunchy and tasty.
Spinach and Cheese Puffs- Spinach provides iron, calcium, and vitamin K. Baking reduces the need for deep frying, making it lighter. This dish is quite a favorite because the food is light, sticky, and attractive; its taste is increased manifold due to the vegetables hidden inside.
