The Diary Game: 26.07.2025 | From Boredom to Joy: A Day at the Fair

The morning was quite typical. After breakfast, I spent some time on my smartphone but soon felt bored with my routine life at home. Suddenly, I thought about visiting the fair that had started a few days ago in Saidpur. My mom and sister-in-law were also at home, busy with household work, and I guessed they might be feeling the same boredom. So, I suggested to my mom that we all visit the fair together and take my sister-in-law and niece along.

My mom agreed right away, and I could see the happiness on her face. It felt like a nice surprise for them. A little while after lunch in the afternoon, I got ready and took my mom, sister-in-law, and niece to the railway station to catch a train to Saidpur. We were just in time when we reached, the train was already there, so we boarded in a bit of a hurry before it departed.

The train wasn’t crowded, so we easily found seats. It took around 20 minutes to reach Saidpur station. After arriving, we sat at the railway platform for a while, waiting for a younger brother who lives near the station to join us. When he arrived, we headed to the road near the Superintendent of Police’s office and boarded an auto rickshaw that would take us straight to the fair.

The fair was called the “Small and Cottage Industries Fair.” The entry ticket cost just 20 BDT. My mom, sister-in-law, and niece went in first, full of excitement, while my younger brother and I followed a few moments later.

After twenty minutes, we arrived at the Saidpur station

Honestly, I expected the fair to be small, but it turned out to be quite large and full of life. A lot of people had come to enjoy it, which made the atmosphere lively and cheerful. In the late afternoon, we treated ourselves to some snacks and tea inside the fair.

We spent the rest of the time wandering around, exploring the different stalls and admiring the variety of products on display. By evening, after a full round of the fair, we headed back to Saidpur railway station and waited for the train to take us home.

After reaching home, I freshened up and took a little rest. A short while later, I had my dinner. Alhamdulillah, it truly felt like a wonderful day for all of us, it was filled with happiness.
