Eid-ul-Adha (Eid of Sacrifice)
Today I will write about the biggest festival of our Islamic religion (Eid al-Adha). I hope everyone will like it.
Eid al-Adha is one of the religious festivals of Muslims. I am a Muslim and it is the second of the two biggest festivals of our religious festival. Eid al-Adha means the festival of sacrifice and another name for this festival is Eid al-Qurbani.
This Eid is celebrated on the 10th day of the lunar month of Zil-Hijjah. The main theme of this festival is to sacrifice, go to the mosque after the Fajr prayer and pray 2 rak'ats in the congregation.
This prayer is performed with the congregation behind the Imam (The person who leads the Muslims in congregational prayer is called an Imam) with 6 takbirs and at the end of the prayer, the Imam delivers a sermon.
*After the prayer, everyone joyfully pronounces the Takbir loudly (Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La-ilaha illallahu, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahi hamd). Reciting this increases the joy of Eid.
Then, cows, goats, and camels are sacrificed in the name of Allah. Our religious festivals are calculated based on the moon, this Eid is also celebrated on the tenth day of the moonrise of the month of Zil-Hijjah.
Eid means happiness, Eid means joy, and it exists in everyone, this Eid is not only for us but for everyone, Muslims all over the world enjoy the joy of this Eid. However, there is a real history of the sacrifice of this Eid. History is about sacrifice, so this Eid means the festival of sacrifice.
Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihi Wasallam was asked to sacrifice his most beloved thing in a dream. This was a test of his deep faith in Allah and his obedience to Allah's words. The next day, Ibrahim Alaihi Wasallam was left to understand that his most beloved thing was his son.
He prepared to sacrifice his son as Allah had said and the father sacrificed his son blindfolded his father. But he opened his eyes after performing the sacrifice and saw his son standing in front of him and there was a dhumba slaughtered. Ibrahim (peace be upon him) succeeded in his difficult test and his respect, respect, and faith in Allah were not lacking.
Remembering this incident, Muslims all over the world celebrate this day every year to please Allah. Therefore, Muslims sacrifice on this day. However, it is said to be sacrificed according to one's ability, and those who cannot afford it do not have a problem even if they do not.
Along with sacrifice, this Eid is happily spent with family and friends. On this day, everyone shows compassion to each other and starts a new day by meeting each other and asking Allah for forgiveness without harboring any jealousy or hatred.
Just as there is no shortage of happiness in a big religious festival, there is no shortage of good cooking on this day. Usually, this day includes semai, finni (a type of dessert) as well as palau, chicken, beef curry, mutton and various types of sherbet, etc. On Eid, there is no shortage of guests. They visit each other's homes, eat and drink, and everyone celebrates Eid together.
