Government Titumir College

Brief History

Government Titumir College is one of the famous educational institutions among the traditional colleges of Dhaka city. This college started its journey on May 7, 1968, under the name of Jagannath College. Later, after the country gained independence, this college was named Government Titumir College after the famous farmer rebel Titumir. This college is located in Mohakhali, Dhaka. Which is an important place in the capital of Bangladesh. Government Titumir College only offers undergraduate and master's degree programs to students. It offers certificates from 7 colleges affiliated to Dhaka University. Currently, six renowned colleges of Dhaka, including Titumir College, have been merged into Central University.

This college offers honors masters programs in science, humanities, and business. Currently, I am studying in the political science department of this college.

Front of Building

There are many beautiful buildings on the front side of the college. When you enter through the gate, the first thing you will see are two 10-story buildings. There are also a few more buildings nearby. The buildings are known by different names. The college has various buildings including Science Building, Art Building, Masters Building, Wazed Ali Building.

Conditions of Parks, Courtyards, and Fields

There is a huge field in Government Titumir College. Students play in this field. Again, the college's major programs are held in this field. The field is filled with students during the college.

Organizational Structure

The organizational structure of Government Titumir College is very beautiful. There is a teacher committee to manage the teachers. There are various organizations for the skill development of students. All these events are completely non-political organizations. They work with the talents of students. Notable among these are the Debate Club, Career Club, Cricket Club, Football Club, Shudhchar Club, Language Club, English Language Club, BNCC, and various organizational groups. Through these, students can develop their talents.

Leader's Room or Administrative Services

There is a separate room for each department. There is a separate room for the head of that department. Apart from that, there is a special study room for teachers to conduct their activities. From there, teachers can study and teach the students. The environment here is very beautiful. As a result, everyone can enjoy the facilities beautifully.

Learning Space Atmosphere

The classroom environment of Government Titumir College is very beautiful. There is adequate light and fan in each room. As a result, students do not have difficulty studying during the summer. This is not available in other colleges. But Government Titumir College has adequate facilities for students to study. They can study in a quiet environment if they want. Apart from the library, there is a seminar room for group study together. There, five students can study together in a group. So all in all, the classroom here is very beautiful and the students have a lot of facilities.

Laboratory Space

The college has a laboratory room. Activities are constantly going on there with the students of the science department. Students of the science department complete their practical work there. And by completing it there, they show their talent.

Library Conditions

The college library is very beautiful. There are different types of books here. Through these books, students can come to the library and recharge on their subjects. Whenever they come, they see students studying in the library. The library has a completely study-friendly environment. Due to which students come to the library to study during the classes. Apart from academic books, the library has different types of books. Which is very beneficial for students.

Canteen

There is a canteen in Government Titumir College. Due to the political situation in the country, the canteen was closed for several months. The canteen was reopened a few months ago. Currently, the canteen is known as Bansher Kella Canteen. The environment of the canteen is very beautiful. Everything is beautifully arranged inside the canteen. The quality of the food here is very good. And students can eat here according to their needs for a small amount of money. Which is very beneficial for students.

Health Unit Room

Government Titumir College has a huge health room. The environment of the health room is very beautiful. If students have any kind of physical problem, they take care of it from there. There is no need to pay any kind of fee here. Compared to outside hospitals, the facilities of the students in this health room are much more. If someone gets sick, he is cured by constant observation.

Extracurricular

Many extracurricular activities are going on here. A few days ago, an organization called Islamic Book Recharge was launched. This organization provides knowledge outside the textbooks. Also, classes are held here at different times. Which gives students the opportunity to acquire new knowledge outside the traditional textbooks.

And other useful information.

Above all, Government Titumir College is a reputable educational institution. The transportation system of students in this college is very developed. The college authorities have nine buses for the transportation of students. Which helps students to come from far and wide. The learning environment here is very good. To get admitted to this college, one has to take admission through an admission test.
