My Mom's Biryani Recipe

Hello steemians how are you all. I hope you all will be doing well and enjoying life. I am good too. My today's post is gonna be about my mom's delicious biryani recipe. This recipe is very easy to make. So without wasting time let's get started.
Ingredients :
- Biryani masala
- Onion
- Garlic
- Tomatoes
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- Rice
- Chicken
- Oil
- Potatoes
- Food coloring
Recipe :
First of all you will soak your rice for about an hour. Take a pot first of all add oil in it when the oil heats up add your onion in it. Fry it till golden brown after that add garlic. Then add the chicken in it and fry it till it gets a bit brown. Take the masala packet and add half of it on the chicken. After that add tomatoes in it. Then fry it. Then after frying it a bit add 1/2 cup yogurt and the rest of the masala left it the packet. And cook it properly. Then boil your potatoes and after boiling them add them in it too. Them take an another container take water in it , add some salt in it and then the rice and boil the rice. After the rice is boiled strain it.
Then take a big container add half of the rice in it , then add the material you made on the top of it then add the rest of the rice on it too. Then also add food coloring on it too. Then add some lemon and mint leaves on it and keep it on low flame for 20 mins.
Then take it out mix it properly and it's ready to serve.
