A Heartfelt Summer of Happiness and Goodbye at Cordova Home Village
As we all know, life is defined not by chance, but by choice. No matter how hard life is, if it is for the sake of your family, you will always find ways to make it happen.

It's summertime here in the Philippines, and pools, beaches, and most tourist spots are crowded. So we need to book online in advance to secure our reservation at Cordova Home Village, located in Cordova, Cebu City. We've been here multiple times. The entrance fee costs 395 pesos per person, which is about 49 steem each. We were seven, so 49 steem x 7 (persons), we paid 343 steem in all. Cordova Village also offered its Villas for rent and other amenities. The Village opens from 8 am to 10 pm. They offer two sets of buffet. The lunch buffet starts at noon, followed by dinner, which opens at 5 pm, til food lasts. The price is affordable to commoners and really worth the visit. The reason why the place is mostly crowded.

Our reservation includes an unlimited dinner buffet. Whenever it is available, we choose buffet dining to eliminate the hassle of preparing food ourselves, and it saves time. With the variety of dishes ready to enjoy, we can focus on savoring delicious meals, sharing moments, and relaxing without any kitchen worries or rush. Also, while waiting for the table to open, we can focus on watching our kids while playing in the water with less worry.

As expected, our kids were very excited upon hearing the plan. We told them that it is not all about Mother's Day since it was Mother's Day that time, but it was also a farewell party for my sister, Ruby. All along, my sister was just silent, as we watched our kids enjoy swimming and sliding in the pool. We've also brought a small portable Bluetooth karaoke for us to savor the moment. You know Filipinos love to sing that much. My sons mingled with their cousins and went swimming with them. For us parents, we don't have to worry so much because there are also lifeguards assigned in different areas. There are areas for kids and adults, and the lifeguards don't let the kids pass the line for their safety. It's already 8 pm, and it is getting colder, so we have to go home. My youngest son, Math, refused to come out of the water, but we needed to force him because he had already spent almost 7 hours in the pool. He might get sick if he stays longer.

Beneath those memories, it is time for my sister to head back to Dubai. She has been working there for more than 10 years as an AutoCAD Designer. She's been telling me that if only her life in the Philippines could support the study of her kids, she would prefer to stay with her family. She missed a lot of moments with her kids while growing up, and it affected their relationship. As we got to the Airport, my husband carried her luggage, as I tried to keep the company warm to ease the pain of a long goodbye, and there it ended.
