Delicious Pancit Canton or Stir Fried Noodles Recipe

Guess what made it to our dinner table today? Yeah, pancit canton... My youngest has been begging me to cook his favorite noodle dish. It was very sweet, and how could I say no to that face? So, while we were grocery shopping, I told my husband, 'Don't forget the pancit canton ingredients, remember the face of your son. So here, I rolled up my sleeves that quickly the moment we got home. Got everything ready since it was almost dinner time. Good thing preparing this dish won't take that long.

Here are the Ingredients needed: ( I already prepared some)

  • ¼ kilogram of pancit cartoon or egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp. Cooking oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2 string beans
  • ! small cabbage
  • 100 grams of pork
  • 2 tsp. Oyster sauce
  • 1 pack pancit cartoon sauce (mix powder)
  • pepper to taste

Procedure:

  • Prepare 3 cups of water, then soak the pancit canton sauce mix first before proceeding with the other steps.

  • Make sure to wash all the sliced vegetables, and cut the meat into small pieces. Sauté the pork meat.

  • When the meat turns brown, add the onion and garlic, then remove from the frying pan.

  • Fry the carrot just for a second, and the string beans, then remove from the pan.

  • In the same pan, boil the pancit canton mix.

  • Add the pancit canton noodles.

  • Pour about 2 tablespoons. Of oyster sauce. Stir gently until the pancit canton softens slightly.

  • Go ahead and add all the vegetables and meat that you fried earlier.

  • Season it with pepper to taste. Mix gently and simmer for a minute.

  • Transfer it to a serving plate. Serve hot!

Cooking Tips:

One trick I love to use when cooking pancit is incorporating a pancit canton sauce mix, it helps achieve that deliciously saucy consistency that my kids can’t get enough of. It adds flavor and saves time, too!
Also, using an instant sauce mix? It helps you not to bother with cornstarch slurry. This pack is already thickened and good to go. Also, this is something quick and easy to do.

When adding the noodles, avoid dumping the entire pack all at once. Instead, add them gradually. If you want to keep it nice, flavorful, and not dry, just splash a bit of water. But make sure to do it only if the sauce starts to reduce. This gives you control over how saucy your noodles are.

If you want an extra kick, add a drop of calamansi right before serving. This ensures that you and your kids will enjoy it.
