President Launches Theme and Logo for the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia

The Republic of Indonesia, our beloved country, will soon celebrate its 80th anniversary of independence. The 80th anniversary of our beloved country falls on August 17, 2025. Independence Day is celebrated every year with joy by all Indonesians from Sabang (Aceh) to Merauke (Papua). The Proclamation of Independence is a historic day for the Indonesian people, following decades of struggle to gain independence. It required sacrifices of life and property by the fighters against the colonialists. The Indonesian people also annually await the theme and logo launched by the government to commemorate this historic day.
For the 2025 anniversary of Indonesian independence, President Prabowo Subianto launched the theme and logo at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The launch of the theme and logo for the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was attended by members of the Red and White Cabinet, heads of institutions, heads of State-Owned Enterprises, and ambassadors, both in person and online. "By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I launch the logo and theme for the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia," said President Prabowo Subianto. The logo features the number eighty in a rounded red font, unified without any cuts. In the center of the number, a blank line surrounds the inner eight and zero.
The theme of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in 2025 is “United, Sovereign, Prosperous People, and Advanced Indonesia”. President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that this theme must be a benchmark, "Don't just be a slogan. The logo design is also the work of the nation's children". The determination of the logo for the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was carried out by the Ministry of Creative Economy in collaboration with the Indonesian Creative Designers Association. A designer named Bram Patria Yoshugi won the independence day logo competition this year. Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi said that the state ceremony commemorating the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2025 will be held in Jakarta.
