An Exciting Journey to See the Beauty of Lake Lut Tawar

The morning in Lhokseumawe was warm, it was eight fifteen, and all preparations for our long journey to Takengon were in full swing. My wife was busy double-checking food items and bags so that nothing would be left behind. Our three children Khalif, Kahfi, and Keenan were eager to get into the car and begin the journey. My mother and mother-in-law gave last-minute reminders to fasten everything safely, smiling occasionally at their grandchildren's behavior.
I myself ensured the vehicle was in its best state because the route we were going to take was not a normal route. The road from Lhokseumawe to Takengon is famous for its uphill and downhill climbs. At nine thirty, with prayers and hopes, we set out from the inn, ready to encounter difficulties ahead.
As we began to enter the road in the Gunung Salak area, the thrill began to set in as our car inched up the steep, never-ending inclines, then fell down the sheer drops with cliffs on either side of the road. Each incline was as if it was drawing out my adrenaline. "Slow down, dear," I heard my mother's concerned voice from next to me. My wife also seemed to be holding her breath every time. I tried my best to stay calm, focusing all my attention on the road ahead. It was a relief whenever we cleared an obstacle. Alhamdulillah, after a fatiguing journey, we arrived in Takengon City at about noon.
Tired and hungry from the journey, we sought a place to rest and have our lunch, and Gegarang Resto was our destination. Gegarang Resto welcomed us with a natural ambiance and a long menu, which left all of us perplexed as to what to eat. "Wow, what shall we eat?" exclaimed my mother-in-law surroundings Having pondered over the long menu, we were at last able to conclude on our respective orders and, of course, enjoyed eating them.

After filling our stomachs, we moved in the direction of Masjid Al-Munawwarah, which is always crowded due to its proximity to a clean and fresh river with plenty of greenery surrounding it, making the mosque's courtyard an ideal location for photography. After performing wudu with the cool and refreshing river water, we offered prayer with a clean and peaceful mind.

As the day wore on and afternoon approached, we finally headed towards the highlight of our journey: Lake Lut Tawar, with high expectations of savoring the exotic natural beauty of the surroundings.

We took a seat at a lakeside cafe called Daloff, where we got drinks and some snacks. But it seemed nature had other plans as the weather suddenly took a dramatic turn. A heavy rain with gusty winds began a short time after we arrived at the lake's edge, shrouding the otherwise beautiful landscape with wind and rain.

This was a fantastic travel experience for us that further enhanced our bond of togetherness. The memory of Lake Lut Tawar with strong winds and rain will be long etched strongly as a significant part of our family adventure.
What an intense travel story! I feel the thrill as you drive along the Gunung Salak road. The cozy moments of Gegarang Resto during your lunch and relaxing time at Dalof Cafe hopefully relieve all those fears from the road.
This adventure truly feels full of love, laughter, and connection with your family. I hope you are all safe going home as you drive that road again!
Our family is truly grateful to have made it safely to our destination, and now we are back home with stories that got our adrenaline pumping. Thank you for reading our story @bisdako.
By the way, do you and your family like to travel too?
Yeah, we also travel with my family, and I assist my husband by watching the road, keep telling him to drive safely, specially when we pass through the mountain cliffs in the province. There is even a road referred to as the "M" road, which is very curvy while ascending upward to the mountain. It is really scary. However, the happiness that I feel every time I see my children happy with where we went is priceless. We travel once in a while for us to have memories as a family, especially during holidays and school breaks.
By the way, @fajrularifst, me I know what markdown or command you use in uploading your multiple photos? It looks nice.
Oh, of course I'll tell you how to do it. It's a simple command using the "|" symbol.
