X-ray of cervical spine

How are you Steemians. Hope you all are well I'm good too by the grace of ALLAH ALMIGHTY. My name is gia and I am on Steemit as @jiya99. I am becoming a physiotherapist I have completed my 3 years of degree I am doing the internship in the poly clinic of my city.

I have learned how to see the x-ray of cervical spine. So I decided to teach you all how to see the x-ray f cervical spine. Before that you should know that how many vertebras of spine.

There are total 33 vertebras of spine in which there are seven cervical vertebras that start from the neck to downward C1 vertebra can't be seen in the xray because it made the Atlanto occipital joint remaining six vertebras we can see it through the x-ray.

Then we should know that the normal x-ray or spine is c shaped like the cup shaped but if there is a posture abormality then the x-ray shows the cervical spine straighten that means that your posture is not good enough that's why there is a posture deformity.

This is the x-ray of patient that came to my clinic and she presented that she has severe neck pain then we asked the patient to do the x-ray of cervical spine.

Firstly We have two see spaces between the vertebras as we know that between the vertebrates there is an intervertebral disc so there must be space between the vertebras if the space is little or decreased between the vertebras then there is a deformity and that means that there is a compression on spine.

I have marked the yellow points you can see that in the above vertebras there is normal space between C5 to C6 and C6 to C7.

Now the other point is that we have to find the shape of vertebras if there is the hook like edges in the vertebrates that means that there are osteophytes formation. Osteophytes are bony projections and it is age relating disorder. I will show you in the pictures with red mark.
