National Shrine Of Saint Joseph Mandaue

The National Shrine Of Saint Joseph is a Roman Catholic Church located at Barangay Centro Mandaue City, Cebu , Philippines. It is one of the oldest church in the country. It was established in 1638. It is ruled under the Barangay Guizo, Mantuyong, Centro, and Looc.

The Church is open from Sunday to Saturday. It's mass schedule. People usually go on Sunday and the church is crowded. Obviously, as Christians it's the Day Of The Lord. It's a time for prayer and fellowship together with family.

Santo Enteirro is displayed and devotees able to touch and worship the statues. This image taken during Holy Week.

There is also image of Christ in an altar decorated with fresh flowers, sculptures of Saints, Jesus Christ Crucified etc.

Inside the vicinity of the National Shrine Of
Saint Joseph Church has a Candle Lighting Area. Christians offer candles in the form of prayer for thanksgiving, protection, blessings, and prayer offered for deceased love ones. Candles are sold for 20 pesos(2.33 STEEM)/ 5 pieces.

It has a Hall for community services, meetings, and charitable activities. The Church has security guards, wide parking spaces, and toilets to ensure security, safety and convenience.

I visit the National Shrine of Saint Joseph almost every Sunday around 3:00-5:00 P.M. I take a bus and the fare is 17 pesos ( 2 STEEM) and get off at Mandaue Public Market . Then work around 200 meters towards the Church.
