MY COUSIN'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Anniversary Baby

It's a thing of joy to share your birthday with a day set aside to celebrate an outstanding event in your state or locality.
People will tend to add the name of the event to your own name.

Like that of my little cousin, Dove, her birthday falls on the same date which AkwaIbom state was created.

Every 23rd day in the month of September is being set aside to celebrate the creation of AkwaIbom state as it was created on that same date.
September 23rd , 1987.

With that , my cousin being born on that day ,we usually call her anniversary baby. Although she's now a big girl. We'll definitely change it to "Anniversary girl "

My cousin said she wanted to cut her cake at her Father's work place. So we decided to give the birthday girl a treat.

One place we could get a beautiful cake and other products for the mini party was the Uyo Market Square located at Ibom Tropicana .
A well stock mega shop were you can get anything you want.

So we stopped by to get a few things for the event.

The first thing we went for was the cake.
The cake and confectionary section is at the extreme end of the mega market. So, we went down there.
All the cakes here were really nice and we left the birthday girl to make her choice . But you know little children na...
They'll want to pick everything.

After how many minutes of choosing and dropping, we finally got a perfect one.
With pink as her favourite colour, we selected this one;

It cost 16 thousand naira, which is about 80 steems.

After buying the cake, we went to get drinks.Finding the soft drink section wasn't hard for me. We've been here countless times and I know my way around the place.

We were picking random varieties, not too much .
From coca-cola to fanta to Schweppes.All for decorating the cake table .
We also went to the wine section to get a bottle of VELETA wine .

That was the last thing we took before going to make payments at the counter. When we got there, we met a distant family relative who happen to also be there to get provisions. When we asked what we were there for and we told t, he bought a gift instantly for the birthday girl.

After we made payments, we left the market square and drove to her dad's workplace. It's about 10 minutes drive down there from the market square.

When we got there, I took out the cake, we prayed, sang Happy birthday songs to her. Thereafter, she cut her cake.
We shared the cake to friends and neighbors both at her dad's workplace and home.

I didn't even get the chance to tastes the cake because I was making videos and taking pictures.

A day we'll spent to celebrate my most troublesome friend.
