Waking up early on Sundays through Fridays is a normal thing . At least 5 am. But on Saturdays like this, I usually wake up by 6: 30 am or 7 am . I would probably be tired of the whole stressful week and needed to sleep well.

However, this particular Saturday wasn't going to be like that.
I was still deep in sleep when a knock on my room door woke me. This was 5 am , I was wondering what nature of information whoever was at the door wanted to pass that he or she couldn't wait till at least 6 am. I managed to get the door. And behold my Auntie was there, starring at me with her eyes wide open like she was awake since 2 am.lol...
I greeted her and she replied. Then she informed me that we'll be going to that market by 5 : 30 .

She said she had two places ( Church and her Medical Laboratory) to be at after buying things from the market. And she didn't want to be late for any. Why she needed me to go with her was to help her carry the food stuff she was going to get. Then take them home while she goes for her function.

There was no need going back to bed, so I just stayed awake trying to complete an SLC Post I was handling after putting on clothes.
I was so into my device and didn't even notice that 40 minutes had gone by, while Auntie was still preparing ...lol
She said we'd leave by 5 : 30 , but this was 5 : 45 . And she was not still done.

To cut the long story short, we left the house house by 6: 15. How ridiculous 😂. When I heard that we were going to use the car and not public transportation, I was relieved.

First , we touched down the Cyrilo Fuel Station close by to get petrol. it was just 3 minutes drive to the places.
From there we left for the market. I was enjoying the chill morning breeze while listening to some early morning jams on the radio. Comfort FM . They always have a way of entertaining thier listeners. When we got to the traffic lights, we had to whine up. You can't be so careless to leave the glass down. You might get robbed..

Cyrilo Fuel Station

Finally, the light flashed yellow, then engines started steaming.
On seeing the green lights, everyone started moving. On getting to the next traffic lights, the light was green , so we just drove pass straight to the market.

Traffic lights

After about 15 minutes of driving ,we were at the market.
We found a good parking spot after parking at a first spot, then we were told to park somewhere else.
Then.we started to strolled into the market. First of all , my aunt withdrew money at a close by POS stand.
Arrival at the market/withdrawals

The first thing she wanted to buy was Atama leaf—for the soup. So we got that first.
At where we were to buy the leafs, we saw this local pear which looked so nice. We asked to buy it, but the seller said it was already sold. That the buyer was coming to get it. When the buyer comes, we can then buy from her buyer.
Just imagine the sense..lol
So we left the place to other parts of the market, we came across a lady selling palm fruits and we stopped by to get it.
We got about 500 naira worth of it. Which is about 2.5 Steem if not mistaken.

At the market , little veggies are not always hard to find. While just strolling you'll find them. Things like okra , pepper, onion and the rest. You can find them easily. But to get cow skin , goat meat, beef , fish , Garri, etc. You have to get to where it is being sold.

Veggies

The fist place we went to was where to buy washing soap. Yeah we needed them. The ones at home was about finishing,so we needed more. After that we went to get beef.

Buying washing soap

A pound weights cost 3200 naira and that's standard price at the market for that day. If a seller chooses to sell for more or less, it's his or her choice. You can check for other places to get for a suitable price.
But that was the spot we liked to get beef. So we got it from him. 2 pound weights, that's 6400 naria.

Buying Beef

The second thing was Garri which we got about 30 cups at 1000 naria for 10 cups.
They were varieties though, the ones they termed as the best quality cost 9 cups for 1000 while the not-very- good one cost 11 cups for 1000. We bout in-between.lol

After that, we bought fish, we didn't really get into the market unlike other days. I said earlier that my aunt had a place to be at after there. So we didn't really have time to get into the market well enough. So what ever price we were told, we just didn't bargain, we bought.
Fishes cost 3500 and we got two of it. That's 7000

Buying Fishes

We also got melon seeds . 500 naira for a cup. And I waited for it to be grinded while my aunt went to buy cowskin. When the melon seeds was ready, I paid and took it. On getting to where she was , I saw her bargaining the cowskin. Unlike our routine of not bargaining for the day, turns out while I was waiting to get the grinded seeds , she used that opportunity to bargain. From 2000 naira down to 1300 naira as I was told.😂

Cowskin and Melon seeds

The last thing we got was that cowskin. So we went to look for a tricycle that'll take me home.

You guys, I was with the car key and I forgot to give it to my aunt. You know I was going to take the stiffs home, while she goes for her function.
Luckily for her, Since the road was crowded with vehicles and people, the tricycle I boarded wasn't moving fast.

While in there, a man ran down to the tricycle and demand for the car key. That my Aunt had sent him.
I told him that I wanted to give it to her myself.

In the tricycle

You, what would you have done ? Give the car key to a total stranger? Nah bro 😂
So I called her and she came to get it. While waiting for her, the tricycle rider was already loosing it, asking me to pay for the ride, so he could takes others away. I paid deaf ears though –very nonchalant me😂.

After the whole drama, I was finally at my street– chief Udo Eno by Custom office, off Oron road, Uyo.

On a motorcycle

I boarded a motorcycle which drove me to the house.
When I got home, I seasoned the beef, cowskin and fish.
Ate and did my other daily activities. We don't usually cook on Saturdays. Only on few occasions. So there was no cooking.
We all ate what was already at home for the day.
My aunt got back home later in the day.
We all went on our daily activities till nightfall.
Bye!!!!!!!!
