Dog, Fish, Ducks and more!
Hooray, it's Wednesday! For today's post, I'll be sharing with you this unexpected walk of mine and my husband one fine day, But I tell you, it did make me smile.
One Sunday morning, my general manager texted me inquiring if my husband was free for the day because e he would finally do that boxing thing he had been bragging about all along. We did not have any plans that day so we agreed and went but left the kids at Nanay's place first.
When we arrived at his farmhouse, Koro went and greeted us. I have terrible experiences with dogs and Koro frightened me when he came near me. He is different from those native dogs, by the way, do you know what breed he is by his looks? I am guessing he is a labrador.
Beside the pathway to his pool are fishponds. I guess his kids have thrown the ball the wrong way and it landed on the pond.
This is what's on the left pon prior to entry: Tilapia fishes; but look, there's an odd one!
On the right are these Koi and Angel fishes and goldfish.
This part here serves as a filter. There's a machine under the block of bamboos.
On the rightmost part are these pretty ducks. I wonder for what purposes hey are.
There's huge pool on one part, the main attraction of his farmhouse/ rest house.
His kids are playing and taking a bath even if the sun is too bright.
The pool is too deep for his son so he wore a life vest.
When the main purpose has started, Koro positioned himself near the men scratching here and there of his body.
He has a bungalow but the roofing was not yet done. They are using Cogon grass to make a roof.
Then the boxing training began: there is an extra pair of gloves and tapes.
I put one on and tried on a relaxed hand and made a fist. Dang, it's hard!
His wife is so kind and sweet, she kept me entertained while the men are busy with their thing.
That's Sir Raymund, doing his stretch.
After a few rounds, he asked me to take a picture of him and sent it to his family, of course with a little call here and there. I wondered if that is really how busy he was but I guess he s just making a space for relaxation. Punching in the mitts is hard too! Have you tried it?
They prepared fresh coconut juice for snacks. Don't you think the glass is pretty ?
My husband got bored. He wanted more action.
Just a few more rounds and they are done. The small pool was restored to its usual position; the youngest child is throwing tantrums because he wanted the small pool, maybe he feels safer in here.
We did not stay long, we still had a lot of errands to do during the day bit before we left, he gave my husband 10 dollars as a training fee of some sort.
So there goes the walk that made me smile. I hope I kept you entertained. Keep safe and be happy!
Thank you for your time anyway.
