A few days ago, an aunt from our local area called me and gave me this fan and said that it is not running on current or battery, but the light is on and charging is going on. Then I brought the fan home and observed what the problem was with it. Then I found a problem in its switch. The DC input voltage was coming till the switch, but it was not passing through the switch, and the fan was not running. So let's see how it worked step by step.

Step -01

First, you can see a charger fan on my work table; it is a KN2912 model of the Defender company. So I said earlier, 'What is the problem with this fan?' So let's open the fan and see what the problem is. Before opening the body cover of the fan, first I have to open the battery cover and take out the battery.

Step -02

After opening the battery cover, you can see that there was another cover; after opening it, here is a power circuit and a controlling circuit. Then I unscrewed the control circuit and took it in my hand, and I observed, and you can see in a red colour mark that the switch I am showing is the main problem in this switch.

Step -03

Then the red light that was there to indicate the power had a loose connection at the base of its pin, so I soldered it with the help of a soldering iron and strengthened it, and the indicator is also running beautifully. Then you can see that I checked the output through a digital multimeter, and the controlling circuit is charging the battery, and it is completely fine, but the fan is not running.

Step -04

Then I had to check the battery, and the battery gave an output above six volts, which was correct. Then since the controlling circuit gave an output to the fan to my switch but the supply was not being supplied from the switch, I took a 16-pin switch and decided to change the old switch.

Step -05

Then I removed the old switch and installed a new switch and fitted the complete fan, body cover and battery because at that time I could not take pictures due to some work problems, but everything is shown in the video, and you can see an old switch in my hand. I changed it and how I changed the switch and how both AC and DC worked; you will understand in the full video.
