My Sports Hobby || Football is all about winning

Hello friends of Steem For Indonesia community, hope we are all having a great time on the steemit platform. One of the subjects I have always loved to write on is sports.

I really do love sports, as it is not only a recreational activity but also brings a balance to our health. It increases our mental strength too.
Some of the sports I love are lawn tennis, swimming, volleyball, badminton, boxing and football. I actually kept the best last on the list. Out of all the above named games, I love watching lawn tennis and football the most. I have played volleyball a little by the way.

But for this contest, I am going to write my sports hobby. Football is a hobby I really do love and participate in regularly and I am going to tell us about a tournament I won recently last month. Let's Go!!

A friend of mine informed me of a tournament in my locality. So I told him I was interested in playing. He needed a midfielder, so he really needed my expertise.
On our first match, I really enjoyed myself...we had a warm up, took pictures. The game started very hot, tackles were flying, ball was meeting each ends of the goal posts, and defenders were doing their bits to defend while strikers were trying to maneuver.

Not long enough, we scored a goal and then I doubled it. I was so joyous when I scored the goal. We scored the third and the match ended.
We played two more games and then went on to play the final which was played in the Uyo township stadium. It was my first time playing there...so I was a little nervous but I shook it off.

The game started with a frenzy feeling. We played and played but there was no goal. With both teams hitting on the goal to break the deadlock. It all came to no avail. The whistle was blown for full time and we went straight to the penalties.

We were so nervous, everyone was nervous. We watched as our opponent missed and we were all happy and shouted to boast our morale. The last kick and none of my teammates wanted to take the spot kick; they were all nervous and scared. One thing about football is you must have confidence...a lot of confidence is needed.
I accepted to take the last spot kick..walking down to the penalty spot was the longest walk I have ever had in a football match, I could feel my tummy rumbling, my legs feeling weak and I knew I was nervous. Well I talked myself out of it. I just shouted in my mind that I can do it. And I took the kick...waaaam in the net and the crowd went bananas. Everybody screamed... someone ran into the pitch to hug me.

My teammates who were running after me caught me and we celebrated wildly. Soon the trophies and awards were given to us. We took pictures and celebrated with it.
I took pictures with my siblings too and my friend.

It was an eventful day for and that is why football is my Sport's hobby.
