The Akpabio international stadium is one of the most known stadium located in uyo, AkwaIbom state, Nigeria. It's the most used and visited stadium since 2014. The project started in the year 2012 and was completed and was officially opened on 7 November 2014.

The Akpabio international stadium was renamed in the year 2015 by the past sitting Governor, Gov Udom. The international stadium remains the only CAF and FIFA approved stadium to carry on sporting activities. After opening and renaming, I have visited the stadium for more than 5 times now. The stadium covers a very wide area containing more than 30,000 spectators.

The bowl cover makes the whole construction beautiful especially when pictures are gotten from a far view. The stadium is well fenced all round to ensure safety and completeness.

There's no static amount to be paid tho, the amount varies for regular, VIP, VVIP. The government most time takes on the payment for the citizens of the country.

The payment sometimes is not really the issue here because it's not costly especially for indigenes. The amount actually varies for indigenes and non indigenes though.

Opening and closing time for your favourite sport/ leisure

The opening and closing hours comes in differently pertaining to the game time. The gate is always open from 2-3 hours before the commencement of any match.

The closing hour is 20-30 mins after the match, that's done that way so that every body can move out easily without problems.

The closing hour is normally 8pm, so all matches are fixed from 4pm up.
