Sluice Gate Marine Drive, Birganj, Dinajpur
Hello everyone, my warmest greetings and congratulations to all the members of the Steemit family. I hope you are all well? Today I will talk about a bridge. I hope you will enjoy learning about this bridge.
This bridge is located in Birganj Upazila of Dinajpur district. The bridge is located about 28 kilometers from Dinajpur city. Everyone knows and recognizes the Birganj Switch Gate. The bridge is known as Switchgate. There is a market on one side of this switch gate and a shop selling foska chatpati on the other side. It is very nice to sit next to the switch gate on the river bank and eat chatpati and jhal phoosta or dahi phoosta.
This Swiss gate has four doors. These switch gates are opened during excessive rainfall. During drought, water is blocked. The main reason for closing the switch gates during drought is so that farmers can irrigate at that time. Another reason is to prevent the surrounding land and people's houses from being washed away during the rainy season. Switch gates are very useful during drought and flood.
During floods or heavy rains, local people catch fish with nets. Which looks incredibly beautiful. Many boys and elders from the nearby villages catch fish here. Which you can see in the picture. This bridge looks very beautiful during heavy rains. It is very beautiful to see the water flowing in this river during rains, which is very beautiful to see. No matter how beautiful nature is at the end of the season, there is no way to understand it unless you see it directly.
Fishing is not only done with nets in this switch gate. Fishing is also done with boats. It is beautiful to fish by boat in such a beautiful natural environment. During the rainy season, fishing is done by boat in this river. Many families earn their livelihood by fishing during the rainy season. People from many places come here to buy fish during the rainy season.
There is a small park next to this switch gate. Every afternoon, many people from outside and the area sit and chat. During the rainy season, many couples come and sit in this park next to this switch gate. Young boys go with their friends and sit and feel the enchanting atmosphere in the afternoon. Many families come to this park with their children next to the Swiss gate. During the rainy season, there is a large gathering of people at this switch gate.
The distance from Birganj Upazila to Khansama Upazila is about 12 kilometers. There is another bridge here, known as Khansama Bridge. This bridge is very beautiful to look at. After the construction of Khansama Bridge, people have been able to travel to another upazila very quickly.
