A bridge on the river bank

Heelo everyone,
Today I am going to participate in steemit challenge season 26 week 02 organized by @mohammadfaisal bhai. My topic is scenic spot. This is a Tilai river. It is a small river located east of Fakirpara Eid field, 8 kilometers away from Parbatipur upazila. Its distance from Habra Zamindar Bari is 2 kilometers. The banks ofthis river are crazy for everyone. This river is created naturally. Its source is the Jamuna river. This Tilai river is created as a branch from the Jamuna river located in the northern part of Bangladesh. Many people call this small river Kharkharia river. We all know that the water flow of the river usually flows from north to south, but the water of this place flows from north to south (300 meters). This is mainly due to geographical features. Many people consider the water of the place as valuable.

The history or background of this place is very important. During the Mughal era, an Islamic preacher from Western India came to this place and settled there. There is a small house 100 meters north of the place where I took the picture and that house is now covered in thick jungle. This Islamic preacher lived in this house. He originally built this house around this small river. He used the water of this river. According to local history, this preacher came here in 1700 to spread Islam, which is clearly found in history.

This place is known as a national site. Next to it is an Eidgah ground where the people of the area offer prayers and trees have been planted by the government. There are some trees here that are 250 years old. The current conservation of this area is the responsibility of the Forest Department.

Natural water tide

The place has a natural water tide. I have been seeing this water tide in this place since a very young age. Similarly, water comes from this water tide. Even when the river dries up in extreme heat, water continues to come evenly through this tide.

Usually, those who are very thirsty and work in the sun come to the river and drink water from this tide. No one knows where this water comes from. In the last 20 years, the amount of this water has not decreased even a little. It is being used as a thirst quencher for many people and animals. Many newlyweds come here to enjoy the ancient history, the tides and the wooden bridges there, and the natural beauty, and take pictures with the ancient banyan trees. The beauty of this place truly fascinates everyone.

There are a lot of eucalyptus trees planted on the banks of the river. There are also jam trees and some mango trees. Local boys pick fruits from these fruit trees and eat them. Banyan trees are planted for people to sit and rest. These banyan trees provide a lot of shade. So people can sit and rest under the banyan trees. The reason for planting banyan trees is that birds can sit here and eat banyan fruits. Here, mainly squirrels, beji, crows, foxes, sometimes tiya and yellow birds are seen more. However, in the morning, doves and fish-ringed birds are seen more.

There are no boats or vehicles to navigate the river. When there is a lot of water here, banana trees are used for fishing. But motorcycles and bicycles can easily be ridden along the banks of this river. There are two large fields here where anyone can play sports. Small children play football or cricket games on the fields by the river. No one is stopped from playing here.

The best place to visit here in spring. A large number of birds are seen here during the summer. Many guest birds come here. Also, you can visit here every day. In spring, when new leaves come on the trees, the beauty is even more visible. It is much better to come here in the morning, i.e. before 7 am or after 5 pm. Then you can see more different birds and squirrels here. There is a rest area on the river bank. If you want, you can sleep there in a natural environment listening to the sound of water. People of all classes can visit here because this place is free.

There is no entry fee here. As I said before, this place is government. However, there is good security here. A worker has been kept here to guard the forest and the field. There are also washrooms and tube wells here which have to be guarded. The person who has been guarding for some time is named Abdul Karim. The environment here is well maintained because people come here every day to meditate and do yoga.

This place is the best for me. This place is located 1 km away from my house. I go here every day after Fajr prayers at 5.20 am and run 2-3 km along the river path. I hear a lot of bird sounds here which makes my mind feel good. The birds' calls and the cool breeze and the squirrels eating fruits are the best for me. In the future, the number of bridges in this place will be increased and lotus flowers will be planted, then its beauty will increase even more. So, those who want to travel here in the future should come during the rainy season.
