Mohera Jamidar Bari Museum to OpenStreetMap | My Contribution to Steem Atlas

Assalamu Alaikum friends. I am very excited to participate in the first week of Steemit Challenge Season 25 where we will be visiting museums, art galleries, tourist attractions. This is part of the Steem Atlas initiative and in this post I will share how to add a museum near my home to OpenStreetMap.

How I added museums to OpenStreetMap :-

STEP-01 : I will sign up for OpenStreetMap.

• First I entered this website openstreetmap.org.

• You can see the sign up and login options on the right side.
• Since I had a previous account, I clicked on the login option.
• Here I entered my email and password and clicked on the login option.

• Now my OpenStreetMap accounts are ready to use.

STEP-02 : I will search for museums in my area.

• I searched for Mahera Zamindar Bari Museum in the search box on the left.

• If the location does not appear after searching, you will have to set it manually.

• I selected the correct area by looking at Google Maps and created the area by clicking on the area icon at the top.

STEP-03 : I added the feature from the point tool options.

• I clicked on the point icon above.

• I clicked the point tool option at the museum location I had set.

• Then the feature option automatically appeared on the left side.

• In the feature box, I selected the museum option.

STEP-04 : I added the name to the location.

• The name option appears at the bottom left.

• I wrote the name Mahera Zamindar Bari Museum inside the box.

• I added various details to the More Fields option there.

• You can see the name of the museum showing on the map.

STEP-05 : Description data must be added and uploaded.

• Now click on the save option on the top right.

• I clicked on the upload option to upload it to OpenStreetMap.

• You see all the features are being uploaded.

• Final Step : You can see that my addition has been successfully published to OpenStreetMap.

• Now I searched again by typing the name of the museum in the search box option.

• You can see the location and data shown in the middle of the red circle.
