Assalamu Alaikum friends. Wishing everyone good health. Hope you all are well. By God's grace I am fine too. Today I am here to participate in a wonderful learning competition organized by our teacher @dasudi. The Topic of this contest is SLC25-W4 // "Chickpea Salad". So this is a very important competition where we can learn some important things. Below are some questions that I will answer correctly. So let's get started.

1 - Make a "Chickpea Salad": with the guide presented in this course, add the variation to your liking, (details utensils, ingredients and step by step).

In the 4th week I was really looking forward to making the recipe. I am making chickpea salad. This type of salad is very tasty and healthy. I am presenting the steps to make it below with what our teacher taught me. I will try to do each step correctly. Here are some of the ingredients required for this chickpea salad.

10Honey and mango oil


STEP-1 :- Since chickpeas are the most important, I took chickpeas and dabri along with them. I boiled the chickpeas and dabri in hot water.

STEP-2 :- I cut a cucumber into pieces neatly so that each piece is even and looks nice. The cucumbers should be cut in the same size.

STEP-3 :- I washed a ripe tomato well and removed the seeds. Then I cut the whole tomato into pieces so that each piece was equal.

STEP-4 :- I put the chickpeas, cucumbers, and tomatoes evenly in a bowl so that it would be easier to do other things.

STEP-5 :- Now I added a little honey, olive oil and mango oil to it. Mango oil is one of the most important oils that we make at home and it sometimes enhances the taste of salads.

STEP-6 :- Then I boiled an egg. Then I had to peel the egg. Then I cut the egg into equal pieces with a knife. I had to make sure that each piece of the egg was equal.

STEP-7 :- Now I added a generous amount of salt to the salad. I added half a tablespoon of salt. You can add salt according to your taste.

STEP-8 :- Now I cut the Bombay chilies into equal pieces. I cut the red chilies and the green chilies into equally small pieces. The chilies are freshly picked from our chili plant.

STEP-9 :- Now I combined the two different peppers and mixed them well on the salad. I mixed it well with a spoon from top to bottom so that it mixed with the salad.

STEP-10 :- I added a small amount of yogurt to enhance the quality of this salad. Basically, adding yogurt to salads gives a wonderful flavor and benefits. That's why I added a small amount, two spoons of yogurt.

STEP-11 :- Now, mix the yogurt well with the salad. For this, I mixed it well with each ingredient with a spoon. Mix two of each ingredient well so that its taste increases.

STEP-12 :- Since this chickpea salad is fully prepared, it is now ready to eat. I finally sprinkled mint leaves on it, which is very beneficial for health. This time I kept it in the fridge for some time.

Some instructions and costs :-

First of all, you have to wash all the vegetables and ingredients thoroughly with water so that there is no dirt or germs in them. Remember that it is important to keep each food clean. Use your hands carefully while cutting cucumbers and tomatoes so that you do not cut your hands while cutting vegetables with a knife. Do not use more honey and oil than the family, as this will spoil the quality of the salad. I did the work very patiently so that it is self-sufficient.

If you want to know about the benefits of the ingredients, then I will say that cucumber is a natural watery food so it enhances the taste. Tomato helps to balance the entire taste of the salad. It makes the salad delicious because it is red in color. Everyone knows the benefits of chickpeas, but onion creates its own taste. I added eggs and mango oil because it has a lot of energy. The total cost of all the ingredients was 100 taka or 8.5 STEEM approx.

I followed all the steps as per the contest instructions. So in a piece of paper I saw a chickpea salad with my username, contest tag and date.

2 - Have you tried chickpea salad before? Tell us about the flavor of your salad? Did it meet your expectations?

I have made and eaten chickpea salad many times before. Because I like to be healthy. But the salad I made and ate last time was different. But the salad I made today is completely different and it is very tasty.

This is the first time I have made such chickpea salad with so many ingredients. Tomato and cucumber are my favorite vegetables so I liked the taste of it. Every vegetable in the ingredients was fresh so my expectations were met.

In my opinion, this is a simple healthy salad so there is no need to follow any special tips to make it. However, I followed a few small tips for it which I present to you.

  • I washed each vegetable with clean water to ensure that they were free of odors.

  • I cut each ingredient and vegetable evenly with a knife so that it looks beautiful.

  • I have collected fresh and original vegetables for each ingredient.
