A tutorial how to one or more combined socket connections from a single supply line.
Hello my dear steemian friends |

Assalamu Alaikum |

I am @saifuddinmahmud from Bangladesh. I am sharing a tutorial post with my steemian friends. My post is about how to connect one or more combined socket from 1 supply line. I hope everyone will be helpfull from my post.
We usually use sockets at home to run fridges, ACs, computers, rice cookers, etc. Sockets are required to run all these things. In this case, combine sockets are the most convenient and safe. We often use one or more sockets. But many of us do not know its supply connection. So we have to bring an electrician to do the work and pay him. Today I will share with you how to connect a combine socket. As a result, you can connect it yourself at home.

To do this, we need to know:
- combined socket
- 2 core cable
- Cutting Players
- Tester
- 2 pin plug
- Gang box

This is our combine socket. It has a front part and a back part. The front part has a switch, 3 pin socket, 2 pin socket. The back part has a switch connection pin, line connection pin, and neutral connection pin.
First we will take a red wire which will act as the phase. We will connect the red wire to one end of the switch. This will act as the main input line.
Then we will connect another wire to the other pin. We have connected this wire to connect the current from one end of the switch to the socket pin through the other end.
We will connect the red wire taken from the other end to the pin marked L. When the switch is off, there will be no current supply to the L pin. But when we switch it on, the supply will come to the L pin. Now our phase line connection is complete.
Now I will connect the neutral. I will connect a black wire to the pin marked N. With this, my socket connection is complete.
My connection is completely finished. Now if I plug any electrical instrument into it, it will get supply.
Many times we cannot supply everything with one socket. Then we need more than one socket. Then we need a separate line. But if we connect like this, we can use 2 sockets from one supply line.
We will short out a red wire from the main input line of the switch. We will take out a black wire from the neutral end marked N.
We will connect one end of another wire to the main phase of the switch of the first socket. We will connect the other end to the L pin of the other socket.
We will connect the black wire taken from the neutral pin marked N to the pin marked N of the other socket. This will connect the line and neutral to the socket.
Finally, I connected 2 combined sockets from 1 supply line.

I will attach a 2-pin connector to the other end of the supply line. I will connect the black wire to one pin and the red wire to the other pin.
I installed it in a gang box. Then I put the screws in. It is a plastic gang box. It is used for safety and ease of use.
I have connected the plug to a supply line. You can see that the combined sockets have received supply. The indicator lamps have lit up. Now, if you plug in any electrical instrument here, you will get power supply.
Thanks to my dear steemian friends who read my post.
