Hello friends, how are you all doing today, hope that you people will be fine and doing great in life. @miftahulrizky organized a contest about sacred places; worshipping places. I am going to participate in the contest and share contest with you people, share photos of the place and mark the location on steem-atlas.

"Worshipping place"

I am going to talk about Mosque, it is located in Government Graduate College Of Sciences. It is the main Mosque of this institute and also outsiders are allowed to perform prayers here.

• Tell us about its historical background

This Graduate college was built in 1973, and the mosque was built later and made available for prayers. The college students, staff and other near people can come here to perform prayers.

• Provide an overview of the board

The structure of the mosque is good one, it is a cuboid design shape, interior design is a simple one and suiting one. It is having white type marbles and the walls are made up of bricks. The area is more than 500 squares.

• Describe the architecture, design, and condition of the building.

The condition, as you can see in the photos that it is looking new. The best thing is that every time after prayers there is a cleaning session of the mosque which makes it neat and clean for prayers. As according to our religion we pray on a neat and clean place, it means purity. We also keep our body and clothes clean for prayers.

The architecture and designs are good one's, it is simple and great. The building walls are straight; made with brick and marble tiles used in the floor.

• Describe the condition of outdoor areas such as gardens, courtyards, and open spaces.

The mosque is built like a open space, the internal building includes walls on every side with large sliding windows for ventilations. The outside area includes on the side walls, the building walls but there is no roof on it, it is a open space. Fresh air flows and also cool one at night prayers time which felts great.
There is small garden in the mosque but the side areas includes a lot of trees and plants around it.

As you can see there are fans installed for wind in the outer place and green cloth shelter available to block the sunlight.

• Provides a complete description of the inside atmosphere of the house of worship and the facilities available.

The atmosphere for praying is great one. you are having good facilities here for free. There are Air conditioners and water coolers available beside ceiling fans which makes the prayers comfortable during summer weather.

Moreover, a stand with many shelves is available to keep your shoes safe and clean from getting dirty.

Washrooms and area for ablution(cleaning with water your specific body parts for prayers obligations). Moreover, the mosque includes a lot of lights and water is available every time. Further, cold drinking water available at these hot days in Lahore.

My worshipping experience here is wonderful, I pray here everyday. I come here for 4 times of prayers. In our religion there is obligation of 5 times prayers.
There is availability of washrooms and drinking water in the mosque.
Religious activities and program occurs here, here kids learn the Holy Quran and other religious things. Muslims students come here to learn more about religion by participating in certain activities provided by the teachers here, further, there are other Islamic activities for older people. Here, Arabic language is provided for learning, so that students learn the language.
The teachers here are also teaching in the institute to the enrolled students in the institutes.

• How the donated funds are used

The Mosque is run by the administration of the institute because the staff of the Mosque are government employees of the Graduate College. The funds here are provided by the college and it is used in the maintenance and bills of the mosque.
