Deadly Rain

The month of Sawan has started and since the beginning of this month, the rain is in full swing. It has been raining continuously for three-four days. The rain is so heavy that there is water everywhere. There is waterlogging everywhere but the administration is not paying attention to it. An accident happened near my area due to this rain and waterlogging. What happened was that due to heavy rain, there was waterlogging in Thakurganj area near our Chowk area, due to which all the roads were blocked. A local resident of that place was going towards his house crossing this waterlogging, when the manhole cover was open on the way, which the person could not see due to waterlogging and he went inside the manhole cover and due to the waterlogging the flow was so strong that he was swept away and he could not be found for 24 hours.
Many people from the administration and local residents were searching for him by putting nets in taps and big drains at various places, but after 24 hours his body was found in a drain about 12 kilometers away. He was the only son of his family who died due to waterlogging and administration's negligence.
His family was crying inconsolably and local residents were also shocked as to what kind of incident happened in our area but no one from the administration came to console the family. All the residents of the area said that about 2 months ago the administration was informed that the covers of the main holes in the area are broken, yet no official paid attention to it, so the local residents staged a sit-in protest by placing the dead body of that person at the intersection.
After a long time, people from the administration came and removed his dead body and explained to the people and talked to his family and agreed to help his family in every possible way and promised compensation to the family, only then the anger of the people of the area subsided and they agreed to their demand.
If all the employees and officers of the government departments do their work properly, then such accidents will never occur in life and the lives of people will not be at risk. Due to the negligence of the administration and the havoc caused by heavy rains, the only son of a family died, which no one had expected.
At present the family is very broken and the condition of that person's father is very bad. I pray to God that he does not let such an accident happen and protect everyone.
