We've been hearing of war but let's talk about what war is first. War is a state of conflict between two towns, nation, country or state. It is the kind of conflict that involves the use of weapons like guns and bombs.

How Do War Affect The Lives Of People

War has physical, emotional and eve psychological impacts in the lives of people and children and even our lands. War can affect us in different ways. These effects include: losing of lives, loss of loved ones, losing of homes, loss of jobs, etc. Witness violence can lead to emotional trauma.

War is not new, it has been there since ancient times. One significant war in the biblical days was the Medianite War which you can find the story in the book of numbers 31(Holy Bible). The Medianites had been hostile towards the Israelites until god commanded Moses to take revenge. This led to a deadly conflict between the two nations and the Israelites were victorious even though lives were lost in the war.

How Can We Keep Ourselves Safe During War

It's not quite easy to be safe during war especially when the war involves use of explosions. But we can develop a safety plan with a family members and try as much as possible to stay informed by watching news and being alert at all time. We should also avoid areas with military activity and make available protective gears for ourselves. We should have our bag packed with survival kits and know safe evacuation routes in case there is need to leave our location.

How Can We Stop War And Promote Peace Among Nations

I believe that work can be avoided with dialogue that is peaceful dialogue and understanding. We just need to tolerate each other, no one nation is perfect we need each other to survive.
We also have to encourage peace education and cultural understanding across nations of the world. We should understand that no culture is better than the other and every culture is unique. I hope my ideas count.
