Wars And Human Lives

in Steem For Pakistanlast month

Hello steemians, I just wish that the nations of the earth could just exist in peace and harmony for the betterment of the world. Wars are not needed at all because of the casualties and economic instability they cause. I call on the United Nations to help by educating the citizens of countries on the negative effects of wars. There should be multilateral trade between countries to build trust and good relationships for the easy prevention of wars.

How do wars affect the lives of ordinary people including children?

Wars have several effects on ordinary people leading to injury and death, which is usually caused by the crossfire, leading to physical harm or the loss of life. Wars are not to be encouraged because they force individuals to leave their homes and turn into internally displaced persons (IDPs) or refugees, which makes them experience a low standard of living. Conflicts are so devastating that they can lead to damage to essential infrastructure such as electricity, schools, hospitals, and good roads, causing people affected to lack their necessities, which often leads to an unstable manner of living.

Wars also possess psychological effects which can lead to abnormal behavior. These psychological impacts are trauma, depression, and anxiety, which are usually caused by the witnessing of a loved one perish, which can lead to cardiovascular diseases. Conflicts that occur across the globe often cause individuals to be afraid and have a feeling of insecurity, causing them not to be happy in the environment they find themselves in. Wars also force the young to shoulder responsibilities on themselves, which often leads to them not having a good or memorable childhood experience, making them experience things that are way beyond their age.

Apart from the physical and emotional problems caused by wars, there are also economic and social impacts. When critical wars occur, schools get destroyed and can be converted to shelters, preventing the young generation from attaining a good education and discovering long-term opportunities. Wars can likewise cause poverty to individuals and the nation at large, leading to economic instability, causing families to struggle to meet their daily survival needs. Wars also cause the loss or distraction of the nation's artifacts, not leaving behind any evidence of cultural heritage for the younger to uphold.

Tell us about one historical war that had a major impact on the world.

One of the historical wars that I am sure had a major impact on the world was World War II. This was a global conflict that began in 1939 and ended in 1945. This is said to be the most devastating human conflict in human history involving Great Britain and other major nations of the world, which led to the loss of several lives and property.

The war which was caused by the high increase of the Nazi army of Germany that was lead by Adolf Hitler was also the primary cause of that great conflict, because of his supremacy in the Nazi army. Hitler was so ambitious to expand the territory of Germany because the Nazi army was classified the strongest at the time. He decided to invade Poland for his conquest, which triggered the war, prompting declarations of war from the United Kingdom and France.

  2. Take note of evacuation orders: Whenever orders are given for immediate evacuation we are expected to do so promptly and follow recommended routes.

  3. Emergency planning: Always make sure that you prepare a plan with your family, including safe meeting points and emergency contacts to call.

  4. Avoid danger zones: During wars, anything can happen, and it is advised that we stay clear of dangerous sites to stay safe.

  5. Use protection: In wars, bullets can be flying all over the atmosphere, so we can also stay safe by wearing bulletproof vests and helmets if necessary.
