"One Picture And One Story Week #95"
This picture really means a lot to me,no doubt. That is me and my team members standing in front of the video wall we installed at the stadium. But behind that photo is a full story, one that started with a call and ended with a big success.
It all began when the LBD team was needed for work. The convention committee needed a large video wall set up at the stadium so that everyone attending the convention could see the program clearly, no matter where they were seated. The event was just around the corner, and time wasn’t on our side. But we accepted the job with full confidence.
We first went to the stadium to inspect the area. The wall was high, and the space was wide. Everything was measured correctly, including the pan we kept on the floor before we started the fixing. We also checked where the cables would pass so as not to cause any trip and fall hazard. We didn’t want to make any mistakes, so we took our time to get the details right and correct before mounting the screens one by one.
Soon after, the equipment started arriving—LED panels, steel frames, power boxes, and control systems. We moved everything to the stadium and began work immediately. The sun was hot, and the days were long, though, but we stayed focused.
We started by fixing the steel frames to the wall. Once they were firm, we began mounting the LED panels one by one. It wasn’t easy, though, because some panels gave us a few troubles, and we had to adjust them several times for them to show well. Without errors, we connected all the power and data cables correctly, making sure everything was safe and working well.
There were challenges. I can't forget that particular day when a heavy rain forced us to stop the work and cover the equipment quickly for a good six hours. Another time, the system refused to sync properly, and we had to work late in the night to fix it before we left that day. But we didn’t give up.I can remember how we encouraged each other not to give up when errors occurs, we shared food, cracked jokes while working, and kept pushing forward and not looking back. And Jehovah was really with us throughout the work.
Finally, the day came when we tested the video wall. As soon as it came on, we all smiled. I can remember the feeling of how happy we were seeing the work being successful. The screen was showing very bright, the sound was clear, and everything worked perfectly. You can imagine how beautiful and neat the stadium would lookafter the installation was completed; it felt ready for the convention ahead. During the convention, I must say the video wall really helped thousands of people sitting there to follow the program without any stress.
With my heart full with joy, that picture of us standing in front of the installed screen keeps reminding me of all the effort, teamwork, and dedication we put into the project, which came to a success. All thanks to our Creator,Jehovah. In fact, we didn’t just install the screen only; we helped make the convention smooth and memorable. And that’s something we’ll never forget.
