1 Picture, 1 Story Week #92
Hello my dear friends,
Today I want to share one simple photo, but it carries a very big memory in my heart.
Me and my beloved husband were on a trip to Abbottabad and nearby areas like Harnoi. It was a beautiful journey with green views, fresh breeze, and family moments.
But the memory I am sharing today is not about the mountains or fancy views. It is about a very small, very simple late night walk that became the highlight of the whole trip.
After everyone in the family went to sleep in the hotel room, me and my husband quietly stepped out for a walk. The weather was calm and peaceful, and the streets were almost empty. There was a soft night breeze, and everything felt quiet and slow. We walked slowly, laughing and talking about little things.
While walking, we saw a small local shop on a corner. It was not fancy — just a small table, a few steel plates, a basket of naan, and a man sitting with a tiny stove and a smile. The place looked old and simple. We decided to sit.
We ordered kebabs with green chutney and fresh naan. The food came in steel plates. It wasn’t hot and spicy looking, but when I took the first bite — it was just perfect. The kebabs were crispy outside, soft inside, and the chutney was fresh and tangy. The naan was warm and soft. Everything felt right.
But more than the food, it was the moment that felt special. It was just me and him, sitting in a small roadside place, sharing food, tired from travel but happy. That plate of 2 kebabs, green chutney, and naan turned into a whole memory full of laughter, peace, and love.
We didn’t take many pictures of the food during our trip — but I captured this one photo, because I wanted to remember this peaceful, beautiful night forever.
"It's not always about price. Sometimes, even a 100 rupee meal can become your favourite memory — if eaten with love."
Sometimes people think only expensive food or big restaurants can give joy — but this moment taught me that love, peace, and a shared smile can make the simplest meal feel like a royal feast.
Thank you for reading my story.
With love,
@mahaaa
This is the kind of memory that stays with you forever, not because of how grand it was, but because of how genuinely peaceful and full of love it felt. You painted the moment so vividly, I could feel the cool night air, the quiet streets, and that little table with steel plates holding something far more precious than food: connection.
I love how you said “It wasn’t hot and spicy looking, but it was just perfect.” That line says so much about life and relationships, it’s not always the flashy moments that bring us joy, but the quiet ones, shared in love and understanding.
Thanks for the appreciation, means alot💞
You welcome
