Kindness is being friendly, generous, and kind towards others. It's showing concern for a person's well-being and doing something big or little to make their day better. Kindness is unique in that it can be a contagion, spreading goodwill and warmth in communities and across the globe. A random act of kindness is a specific act that shows care, compassion, and generosity to others. It can be large or small, like holding the door open for another person, giving a compliment, or volunteering in the community. Random acts of kindness can positively influence people's lives and create a ripple effect.

You know the funny part about this quality in my country? Whenever someone uses this word, you will definitely understand what he's trying to say. For example, when we say Akakom, it means the person is too stingy. In fact, even his 1 naira cannot leave his pocket, not to talk of dashing someone. And this set of people is always independent, as people will be far away from them.

Then here comes another set, the most love... In fact, someone can sacrifice his love for you, a kind person. We called it being nice. But if you want to get it correctly, it will be from the ladies. You will hear something like, Omo, the guy is a very nice person. For them to call the guy a nice person means the guy has done something, which is an act of kindness.

There are different ways of showing kindness to people; some are little tasks, while others might involve money. It is what it is, no matter what you do. Helping an elderly person is an act of showing kindness. Maybe they want to cross the main road. Running errands is among the ways of showing kindness, especially for elderly people. Lending a hand to help someone, maybe a stranger.

Now let me talk about myself. I do show kindness in different ways. Sometimes, my acts of kindness are taken for granted.

HELPING AN ELDERLY WOMAN:

One of the ways I show kindness to people, mostly elderly people, is by helping them with their accessories or handset. There's this particular woman (whom I now call her grandma) who was my customer. Since she's old, anytime she needs water, I will deliver it to her doorstep. Most times, I help with buying data, airtime, and even how to recharge. She learned that quickly, and she can recharge and buy airtime or data for herself.

PROVIDING A SHADE DURING RAINY SEASON:

I can't sit and see someone soak in the rain without doing anything. I will tell you to come and wait in my shop till the rain stops.

HELPING PASSENGERS TO GET COLD DRINKS:

It is not safe to pack cars on the road as they can be towed, and about 50000 naira will be charged as a fee. To prevent that, most drivers do not like parking their 50000; they will have a long way to go if they use it on something important. Since our shop is on the main road, we have fast sales as soon as possible. If it is not our customer, maybe a random person, I will help him or her to go and get the drink instead of him or her stepping out of the car. Through these deeds, I try to bring a positive influence upon others.

I would like to invite @onomzy001 and @josepha to participate in this contest.
