We have a few grapevines that we planted with love and every year they produce an abundant and delicious crop These grapes are not only enjoyed by our family but also distributed freely among our neighbors and friends.

DETAILS ABOUT THE PLANTS

We currently have five grapevines in total:

Two plants in our home garden

One plant in our Hujra (guesthouse)

Two plants in the factory premises

These vines have been growing for several years and, by the grace of Allah, give us rich fruits every year without fail.

WHAT TYPE OF GRAPES ARE THESE?

The grapes in the picture belong to a mixed local (desi) variety commonly grown in different regions of Pakistan

Key Features:

The color ranges from light green to reddishpurple

The taste is naturally sweet juicy and very refreshing

These are mostly seeded grapes (they contain seeds).

The vines grow like creepers and need support to spread like a wall trellis or netting.

PLANTING & CARE ROUTINE

We planted them as a hobby but they grew into strong and fruitful vines over the years Heres how we take care of them

Regular pruning to encourage fresh growth and more fruit

Watering about 2 to 3 times a week depending on the weather

Using natural sprays like neem water to keep away pests

Supporting the vines with bamboo sticks or mesh wiring to help them spread

HARVEST SEASON

The grape harvest usually ripens between June and August. As the heat rises, the grapes become ripe and ready to pick — full of color and sweetness.

SHARING THE BLESSING

Every year, when we harvest the grapes:

We share them with relatives

Distribute to neighbors

And sometimes, even give them to children or poor families passing by.

This act brings us immense joy and a sense of spiritual satisfaction — as if we’re sharing Allah’s barakah (blessing) with others.

WHAT’S IN THE PICTURE?

In the photo, I am holding this year's fresh harvest in my hands — one large metal tray, one plastic basket, and a plastic bag filled with grapes. This is just a small portion of the overall harvest we receive from all five plants.

PERSONAL REFLECTION

Growig grapes is not just a hobby its a spiritual and fulfilling experience Every time I see the vines heavy with fruit my heart naturally recites:

فبِأيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Then which of your Lord’s blessings will you both deny?
Surah Ar-Rahman: 13

FINAL WORDS

If you have some free space at home I highly recommend planting grapes or any other fruit Yes it takes time and care but when the results come the sweetnss and satisfaction are beyond words
