Surrounded by natural beauty, Hillview Park and Cafe is a park run by the Bangladesh Army. "Cafe 24" was launched in 2013 for the entertainment of the army personnel working in the Chittagong Cantonment. Later, a 1.6-kilometer-long walking path and a multipurpose hall were constructed by the efforts of the army personnel on the hill and its name was changed to "Hillview Park and Cafe". Later, in 2015-16, a boat club, aviary, picnic spot, and adventurous trail were established in the park.

Hillview Park and Cafe is located next to the Bhatiyari and Hathazari connecting road of Chittagong Cantonment. This park is quite safe and well-organized as it is run by the Bangladesh Army. If you want to enjoy the mountains, lakes and natural beauty with your family, this Hillview Park and Cafe can be a safe and ideal place. There is a large space for parking cars opposite the park. There is a small lake near the entrance of the park.

To enter the park, you need to buy a ticket from the ticket counter. The ticket price for adults is 50 taka per person and for children aged three to twelve, the ticket price is 30 taka. Children below three years of age are free. The park is open to visitors every day from 8 am to 8:30 pm.

The park has various rides for children to play. Although there are some swings that adults can also sit on. Since I took my two sons, my two sons entered the park and ran to get on the rides. Since there are various large trees in the park, the children can enjoy the rides in relatively shade. On the right side of the park is a small mini-cave where some native species of birds are.

I liked the lake the most inside the park. There are benches on the banks of the lake to sit in the cool breeze, which can relieve the fatigue of the visitors. There are different types of boats for riding in the lake. If someone wants, they can go kayaking there.

There is an artificial waterfall next to the lake. This waterfall attracts a lot of visitors. However, I went during the dry season so there was no water in the waterfall.

There is a large restaurant inside the park. Where water, chips, fuchka, coffee, ice cream, and all kinds of snack items are available. It is prohibited to bring any outside food into the park. However, nothing else was available for lunch except a Chinese platter on the day we went. Apart from the restaurant, there are several places inside the park where you can sit and eat in the open air. If you wish, you can also sit and eat outside.We all ate the fuchka together and it tasted good.

On the west side of the park, there is a nursery "Torulata Nursery" run by the army. Where all kinds of domestic and foreign flowers, fruit tree seedlings and seeds are available. Organic fertilizers, pesticides, and soil are available in this nursery.

Mango and jackfruit
The park has been planned with various indigenous and foreign fruit trees. Most of the trees were bearing fruits and flowers. After entering the park, the greenery surrounding it attracts visitors. The park authorities have prohibited picking flowers and fruits. If you pick flowers and fruits in violation of the ban, you will be fined 100 taka.

Since Hillview Park and Cafe is a park run by the Bangladesh Army, the park contains armored vehicles (tanks) used by the army, along with detailed descriptions of the equipment's performance. There are also pictures of the army's participation in combat exercises.
Photo frame
Another specialty of the park is that there are special decorations for visitors to take pictures. Where everyone from couples to adults can take pictures as per their choice. Which I think is an extra benefit for visitors. If you take pictures of yourself anywhere with so much greenery, it will definitely be etched in your heart.I really enjoy this Hillview park and cafe so much.
