🌍 Introduction
Honor-Based Violence is a tragic reality around the world. It is not just a problem in Pakistan, India or the Middle East — it also exists in Europe, America, Canada and other countries, especially in families where traditional or tribal thinking prevails.
Using a woman as a symbol of "family honor", torturing her for her freedom, choice, education or decision to dress, even killing her — is a global human tragedy.
This challenge is being presented with the aim of bringing people from all over the world on a platform to raise their voices, create awareness, and come up with effective proposals against this cruelty.
📆 Six-week suggested schedule
🔹 Week 1: Break the Silence – Tell the Truth
Participants will be asked to submit writings based on incidents happening in different countries (Pakistan, India, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, UK, Canada, etc.).
Objective: To raise awareness and enlighten the world with the facts.
🔹 Week 2: Culture or oppression?
Cultural traditions are oppressed by women in the name of “honor”. Participants will highlight these misconceptions and explain how human rights are violated.
🔹 Week 3: Voice of the Victims
Highlight stories that are connected to the affected women or their families — whether it is an interview, an investigative report or a fiction based on a true story.
Objective: To tell stories that touch the hearts.
🔹 Week 4: Religion and the Law – Abuse or Guidance?
Participants will explain why Islam, Christianity, Hinduism or other religions do not condone this atrocity. Similarly, how laws around the world view this crime.
🔹 Week 5: Identity of Women – Education, Freedom and Autonomy
The writings will be on how women can be empowered, how they can be made independent and self-reliant so that they can stand up against the oppression they face.
🔹 Week 6: Solutions and Hope – Building the Future
Participants will make suggestions in their final post on how this oppression can be ended:
Educational reforms
Media character building
Legal measures
Work at the community level
🤝 How to participate
Every week on Monday, an official post will be posted with the title of the challenge and instructions.
You can participate from any country in the world, in any language (an English summary would be better).
Both men and women are invited to participate.
After each post, there will be a discussion and feedback session in the comments to ensure everyone is included.
🏆 Selection of the best posts
The 6 best posts each week will be selected based on three points:
Research depth and relevance
Feeling and emotional impact
Creative and genuine suggestions
✨ Conclusion
Honor killings are not a problem of one region or nation — they are a human rights violation worldwide.
Whether it is Zainab in Pakistan, Soni in India, Farkhunda in Afghanistan, or Shamima in the UK — every woman has the right to decide her own life, without intimidation or punishment.
This challenge is not just a competition — it is a global campaign.
We can bring about a revolution through writing — if we all become one voice.
Dear student,@...... thank you for sharing the excellent post. You have participated in it in the best way and have done your best and we are satisfied with your efforts.
