Seikh Rasel Park, Narayanganj.

Incidentally, since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, there have been demands from various quarters and political parties in the city to change the name of the park. The press release stated that after the mass uprising of students and the public in July-August 2024, the Local Government Department issued instructions on February 13 to change the names of various establishments built under administrative orders in the names of individuals associated with the previous government. According to this directive, on February 17, it was decided to rename Sheikh Rasel Nagar Park as 'Narayanganj City Park'.

Since the park is a public park, there is no entrance fee, so many people come here with their families, friends or lovers on closed days or at any time. Therefore, there are always various food shops around the park, as well as shops selling toys, flowers, bangles and other sports items.

As soon as you enter the park gate, you will see many cars and bikes parked. This is basically the free parking area of the park, you do not have to pay any money separately to park your car or bike here. There are two restaurants with the parking area, the restaurants have been made for those who come to visit the park.

Along with the restaurants, there is an art gallery, where art is taught. Along with that, various things have been made to make the park look beautiful. At night, the park is made more attractive by lighting them.

There is a large playground for children to play inside the park and a skateboarding area. There is also a swimming pool for everyone, both young and old, and you have to pay 250 taka per person to enter the swimming pool. There is a gym and cafe inside the swimming pool.

There are many seating areas around the park to sit and rest. Also, since the environment of the park is beautiful and clean, you can also sit on the grass there. Narayanganj City Park is a perfect place to have a picnic or hang out with family or friends.

The roads of the park are also kept very clean and many types of trees have been planted around, anyone who sees such nature is bound to fall in love. There is a small lake right in the middle of the park, which is covered with lotus trees, and when the lotus flowers bloom together, it looks quite beautiful.

People also sit and sell various things inside the park. Such as children's toys, lighting balloons, food, papad, nuts and jhalmuri and much more!

Inside the park, many types of birds also roam in cages, as the cages are very small, I could not take good photos of the birds. But most of the love birds were inside the cages and they looked quite beautiful.

There is a large lake on one side of the park, where different types of fish are cultivated. Many people come here in the afternoon and fish with spears. There is a beautiful bridge over the lake, people climb there and take photos, and the view of the lake from the bridge seems even more beautiful, a very pleasant atmosphere.

There is a gate at the very end of the park through which you can also exit. One gate is the entrance to the park and the other is for exiting. There are beautiful gardens planted on both sides of that gate, which looks quite beautiful.

In the afternoon, the park is full of people, everyone comes here to visit. Since it is a green environment in Narayanganj, everyone comes here to spend time with family and friends in the open air.

Even before the construction of the park was completed, this park has become a place of relaxation and leisure for the people of Narayanganj city, which is now known as a popular entertainment center for the city's residents.
