Today, I am here to share with you the famous National Botanical Garden of Bangladesh. Through the Steem-atlas map organized by the honorable Steem-Atlas Ambassador @mohammadfaisal sir.I hope everyone will like my post.

Today, I arrived at the National Botanical Garden of Bangladesh. This botanical garden was established in 1962. The area of the botanical garden is 84 hectares or 215 acres in Mirpur-2, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is one of the largest national gardens in the country.

It is also a huge treasure trove of nature for nature lovers, a huge research center for those who study plants, and a wonderful tourist center for those who come from far and wide or for tour. The botanical garden is the best place of huge collection of nature. This garden has 56,000 species of trees, herbs, shrubs and many more including a large collection of aquatic plants.

For the propagation of rare species of plants, there is a modern plant propagation system and a tissue culture laboratory. Initially, orchids and rare species of tissue culture have been accepted in botanical garden. There is a huge collection of rose garden, a crisscrossing lake, a watch deck, an artificial waterfall, a bridge over the lake, etc. There are also rare species of plants in this beautiful garden. Such as Anthurium (Anthurium crystallinum), Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora), Rabbit Fern (Davalia canariensis), Dambia (Dombea spectabilis), White 'Rangana' (Ixora superba), Small Musanda (Musanda luteola), Amazon Lily (Victoria amazonica), 'Harhajora' (Vitis quadrangular), African Tulip (Spathodia campanulata), Sambucus (Sambucus nigra), White 'Sandalwood' (Santalum album) etc.

This reserve can also be called the bird sanctuary. Thousands of birds gather here every day. There cannot be a better place to enjoy the sweet calls of birds.

Especially during the winter, it is difficult to guess that this place has become a haven for birds, where thousands of birds arrive.

Hundreds of people go for a morning walk in the Botanical Garden every day, enjoying the beauty of nature in the shade of nature, morning walkers exercise their bodies.
Dhaka city is a crowded city, surrounded by large brick and stone courtyards, in this situation, it is like a paradise. The Botanical Garden is a place where you can immerse yourself in the captivating nature.

There is a cactus house, lily pond, Amazon lily pond, culture research center, two nurseries, orchid houses, two net houses, five shadow rooms, nine visitor sheds, three snake corners, eight toilets, two watchtowers, a lotus pond and many more are available in the botanical garden.

I have entered the Botanical Garden several times, but I went to the Botanical Garden in 2024 as a group. This place was selected during the selection of the location for the Steemit platform's global meetup in 2024. Under the supervision of the respected moderators of Steem for Bangladesh, we, about 25 Steemian friends, met at the Botanical Garden. We were all delighted to see the environment here.

We kept walking around in groups amidst nature. We came into contact with numerous unknown trees. The roads here are also so clean that we are impressed. A group of volunteers clean the roads every day.
When you get tired of walking around the huge botanical garden, there are various arrangements for visitors to rest, somewhere. A system like a welded bench. Again, somewhere a huge umbrella. At least 12-15 people can rest comfortably under that umbrella. A small meeting can also be held.

There are beautiful ponds at some distance. The banks of the ponds are connected by beautiful stairs. The surroundings of each pond are covered with wonderful numerous trees. Due to this, it is easy to come into contact with fresh air by sitting on the banks of the pond.

There are many restaurants, fast food, and ice cream parlors inside the Botanical Garden to meet the food needs of visitors. Visitors can collect food from these shops according to their needs. The food in each shop is fresh and healthy. Due to the surveillance carried out by the Botanical Garden, the shops cannot sell any rotten and stale food.

However, one thing cannot be ignored, the price of food in every shop located here is slightly higher than in the outside shops. For example, a plate of chicken pulao costs 150 taka in the outside shop, but here it costs 175 taka. Again, ice cream that costs 70 taka is sold here for 60 taka. However, this price increase is quite tolerable.

So that visitors can easily understand where everything is in the Botanical Garden, there are signs at various places, in addition, people responsible for maintaining the Botanical Garden are also present at various places. They constantly monitor whether any visitors are having problems.
There are many spots to sit inside the Botanical Garden. There is also an environment for 20-25 people to sit under the trees and have a meeting.
