Homemade Tomato and Garlic Ketchup

Today, in the 1st week of Steemit Challenge 27, I will be participating in @afzalqamar Sir Homemade Tomato and Garlic Ketchup competition, I hope everyone enjoys it.

Today I got the opportunity to make this ketchup through this competition. Since ketchup contains garlic, it is more beneficial for the body. Eating garlic brings us many benefits, especially keeping the heart healthy and reducing cholesterol, so it is quite effective.

In the presentation, sir has shown us a beautiful recipe and also highlighted the benefits of garlic, which also increases our knowledge in terms of knowledge. I have gained some knowledge from this ketchup, and I will make it today.

First, I will tell you about the ingredients for making ketchup.

  • Tomato 500 grams
  • Sugar 30 grams
  • Red chili powder as much
  • Garlic of a large size
  • White vinegar as much
  • Salt as much.

I will make my recipe step by step, and you will be by my side.

*First, I put 500 grams of tomatoes in a bowl and cleaned them well with some water.

After cleaning it, I chopped the tomatoes with a knife and put them in a fresh container.

Then I put a pot on the stove, added 1 cup of water to the chopped tomatoes, and let them boil and covered it with a lid.

When it was almost cooked, I added a large clove of garlic to it. Then I covered it again with a lid so that the steam did not escape, and it boiled quickly. It took 6-7 minutes to cook in this way.

When it was cooked, I took it out and blended it and mashed it well. When it was done blending, I kept it in a separate container.

To separate the tomato seeds and skins, I used a sieve and kept the drained ingredients in a container.

Then I put these in a low oven temperature and added red chili powder and sugar as ingredients, and I cooked it.

After some time, I added white vinegar as an ingredient and also added salt and cooked it well. I cooked it like this for about 7-8 minutes.

After 8 minutes, when it was nicely prepared, I put it in a glass container and took time to cool. I took a picture with my name and date on it with the help of a small paper. Finally, when my ketchup was ready, I enjoyed it.

✅ Did you face any difficulty in the preparation of the ketchup at home?

Making this ketchup was quite easy, and adding garlic to it was very beneficial. Moreover, my tomatoes were red in color, so the ketchup got a beautiful color, and it was also quite tempting to look at and very tasty to eat.

There was no problem in making ketchup at home, but when I blended the tomatoes, water came out of the tomatoes, so I had to simmer for a while to thicken the ketchup, and after simmering for a while, the ketchup became thicker.

✅ What do you say about the taste and freshness of the homemade ketchup which you have prepared as compared to the market ketchup?

There is a lot of comparison between homemade ketchup and ketchup bought from the market. Usually, ketchup bought from the market contains chemicals that are harmful to our bodies. The color of their ketchup is different, and they use dyes to darken the color of the ketchup.

From that point of view, homemade ketchup is quite delicious, clean and quality food. All the ingredients are given in the right amount, so their natural color and taste are both available. Adding garlic to it gives strength, and garlic is an antibiotic, so it is quite effective for our bodies. Of course, homemade ketchup makes us very fresh. If you take care of this ketchup, you can eat it for several days. It does not change its taste or color, and the original tomato taste is also available in this ketchup.

I made this ketchup last night and ate it with puri, and it was quite good. Usually, I eat ketchup at home, and this impressed me, so I will make more ketchup in the future.
