With my Girls at the Farm

in Steem For Pakistan3 months ago

It's a vacation time from school and my daughters went with their grandmother to the farm while to help her with the harvest.

The weather is hot and it's a perfect time to harvest cassava and dry it before selling.

Way back in June this year, I sold my cassava fresh but the workers left many of my crops on the soil because there were too many weeds. Now I had another help from other men, including my father to till the soil and gather the crops.

There was indeed a lot left and I am hoping that it will sell fairly so that I will have money to plant cassava again.

However, my daughters are having fun also. we only asked them to help so they will see how hard life is and motivate them to pursue their dream but remain humble at the same time.

The land is ready, we are waiting for the rain to come to be able to plant but for now, we are still praying for lots of sunshine from God to be able to do what we planned. May God bless us all.

Farming these days is a lot different from way back 1990s. Rainy season does not come when they were expected and the Sun dries eh earth for a longer time than it should have. Not to mention it's a lot hotter than before.

For now, we rely on God's will and plans, constantly asking for rain and sun. May His grace be poured into us always.
