No worries. It is default at 50/50 whenever you make the post, so dont bother to change the payout mode now. And then when you get your payout, half of those would be in steem dollar and half in power. Then you can exchange the steem dollar using the market function(in wallet), and exchange to steem. And then you can power up from there.
