My Story Today: Cooking Acehnese Bebek Betutu
Hi everyone.
Happy Sunday, and welcome back! Today I'm going to cook a delicious young duck, a specialty of our Acehnese people. Of course, to make this Acehnese duck dish, I need fresh ingredients and the right cooking techniques. I'll be making Bebek Betutu, a very popular Acehnese dish. I'm using traditional spices like ginger, turmeric, and candlenuts to give my duck an authentic flavor. The entire process is quite detailed. After slaughtering, the duck is split in half to make cleaning and vetting easier.
After that, I'll also clean the duck's insides and remove any blood and feathers. I'll use special spices to clean the duck before cooking. After the duck is split in half, it's cut into smaller pieces for easier eating. I'll cut it into smaller pieces or even make it into delicious shredded duck. Now I'm ready to add the spices and cook the duck.
The aroma of the spices will be very delicious. After the duck is cut into small pieces, you cook it with the prepared spices.
I use typical Acehnese spices like shallots, garlic, ginger, turmeric, and others to give my duck an authentic flavor. To make it even more delicious, I add a little salt and Royco to give it a more savory and delicious flavor. The salt adds a balanced salty flavor, while the Royco provides an umami flavor that makes your duck dish even more delicious.
All the spices will be well absorbed. Then I stir my homemade duck dish again to ensure all the spices are evenly absorbed into the duck meat. ##
This way, every bite will be delicious and full of flavor. Now your homemade duck soup is ready and will be a truly delicious dish.
I will serve it with white rice and add some accompaniments like crackers and pickles for added flavor. I will serve my duck soup to my beloved family at home.
Cooking duck soup today has been very satisfying, especially when the result is so delicious and loved by my family. I can't wait to serve and enjoy my homemade duck soup. Enjoy!😋
