Vision World Academy Graduation Day: My Take-Aways After Attending The Ceremony

INTRODUCTION

Every year, students from kindergarten to the tertiary institutions graduates from their various classes. Their graduation marks an end to their accademic pursuit at that, and the beginning of another level in their accademic pursuit. The end of their accademic pursuit from a particular level, is usually celebrated with intense joy.

To make the day of the pupil's graduation colorful and remarkable, the school comes up to set a day aside for their pupil's. On the other side, the parents would have a sigh of relief seeing their children graduating from their different classes to aim at furthering to another high level in their academics.

For the graduating pupils of Vision World Academy, it was an atmosphere of joy and happiness as they expressed themselves in front of their parents. The high points of the graduation are:

• Presentation of certificate to the graduating students

• Cultural dance

• Drama

• Group photographs

• Presentation of gifts to the pupils

The parents really supported their children by fulfilling the requirements that the school management needed to make the ceremony colorful.

My Take-Aways

The searchlight will now be beamed on the SS3 students as they will now have more focus of their parents. Their performances at their external exams tells a lot about what they assimilated during their days in the secondary school. The Parents would be glad to see their children's performance ranking one of the best. Of course, this would be the expectation of the every parents and the teachers but, it not easy because it tasking. This is now the point at which I have to draw out some important points from this event.

• Early detection of a child's academic strength and weaknesses.

• Technology could aid teaching, but should not be abused:

Teaching and learning is now becoming easy as the use of information and communication technology(ICT), is now in use in some schools.
School Pupils are now taught how use technology to solve their assignments. Students are introduced to using computers to perform various functions such as calculating, design and drawing.

In as much as we know that technology is a lot good to aid learning, there are still high tendencies that it could be used to commit cybercrimes. This is where care should be taken while introducing ICT school Pupils.

• Child training is collective responsibility:
  No parents would be able to train their children all alone with external contributions or input from others. We should learn to understand that training a child is truly challenging. Correcting other people's children when we see the doing wrong is a way to save the from the future consequences.

• Early detection of a child's academic strength and weaknesses.

Identifying a child's weak performance in a subject or course early enough is important. As parents, making out time to check their books, would help them to discover the academic strengths and weaknesses.

These three notes forms my take-aways while attending the graduation ceremony.
