My love story

As I was struggling to survive, doing all kinds of work ranging from riding a tricycle (Keke) on hire purchase to helping in a construction site and digging a soakaway just to make money to survive, I decided to further my education. I can then undergo all the higher education progress for admission. On gaining admission at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, though with the stress of combining hustling, that is, riding the hire purchase tricycle, with my study, I was studious, so with my routine reading at night class, I sighted a beautiful tall and slim girl in my final year for the first time, working with her sister.

And on the second day I saw her again, still at the night class, passing me by, and I started looking at her closely to the extent I loved. some control, forgetting that I was reading for my final year examination, and I was carried away by her beauty, and from then on, she was always on my mind, thinking about how to start a conversation with her.

But since it was my decision not to fix the love relationship with my academics, I decided to fold the intention to one side and concentrate on my academic final year activities. In my final year, she was in year one, and when I was done with my school, I went for service; that is, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). On that fateful day, at Sokoto servicing my father's land, I was lying down operating my Facebook, and a quick venture on the friend that you may know led me here.

I saw her profile, and I was so excited looking at her profile again and again just to be sure she was the one. Knowing she was the one, I quickly sent her a friend request, and on the next day, she received and accepted my friend request, and that was how our online conversation started. Since Sokoto was so far away from AKWA IBOM STATE, where she was, there was no physical contact; we had to be talking to each other online for the one year I was in Sokoto.

When I was done with my service, coming back to Akwa Ibom State, she was the first person I visited just to see her one-on-one and pour out my feelings of true love for her. She needed some time to know me physically better, and I gave it to her, and as days went by, our love began to grow stronger to the point I couldn't hold it in anymore. I decided to propose and ask her to marry me.

Though she was still in school, she accepted, and we got married, and that is how we started our family till now. After our marriage we continued to live happily as a family. Although we are not perfect, we do our best to live happily and peacefully. We go about our daily routine just to support ourselves. For now we are doing business together, and this keeps us going. Our bonds are strengthened every moment, and we pray God will help us so that we continue our endless love.
